LingLing, I will see you in Millenium Park.

So, I called NVC Operator line, and I asked if they are open on Sat. & Sun. and she said NO. I asked if I overnight mail on Friday and it gets there by Saturday and she said " I DON'T WORK IN THAT DEPARTMENT" and probably would be delivered on Monday.

NVC reps. are 100% better than usless USCIS Customer Service.

LL, Make sure you show up on this board before I get mad :-<

If you call all the time, you will get it. Shpat, have you prepared all requier docs for Immigrat Visa. Regardless of what your father thinks is right for you to do, you need to gather all these docs.

Do you want me to list them here so make sure you have them?

Shpat,

What you need here is a hammer and hit your head to get straight. I know probably you won't care about this process as much anyway because you are still in delima but I will list them here so you can follow.

NVC won't send you any sort of instruction. Only instruction from them is wait 4 to 6 weeks. If you decide to go with NVC for sure, I tell you that you will stick with them for 5 months.

BTW, you are in a public forum, don't you forget.

CHD,

have you called recently to find out if your AOS package is under review or already accepted?

And what about 230? I called yesterday and they didn't enter my AOS in a system yet, It was received on Tuesday. Since you little ahead of me may be you have some news? I'd like to check with operators often because if RFE is issued I can act quickly, can't rely on AVR at all-it never changed from "No case found"

Please update us if you have any news! You are our #1 by your NVC timeline!

I'm actually a little behind you I think. I may have sent my packages out earlier, but since they came from Canada 'express' means 3 business days. They were just delivered to NVC yesterday. I may call tonight just to confirm that they are recieved, but I may just wait until Monday to check up on it. We'll see how I feel when I get home tonight. :)

Ahh, I see...Going to call on Monday too!

Summary of all instruction to my understanding (PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING ONCE): Credit goes to LOTO and James!!!

1) NVC will have a case number for you

2) After step 1 always try to get your IIN (INVOICE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) from NVC Rep. till they give it to you (try hard every second)

3) While you are going thru above steps, focus on gathering docs for Following Form:

-- DL form DS-3032 (Choice Of Agent) and fill it out and have beneficiary to sign it and send it back to you.

-- DL form I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and fill it out and sign it

-- DL form DS-230 (Immigrant Visa) and fill it out (Part I&II) and have beneficiary to sign ONLY PART ONE and send it back to you.

Requiered Documents for each package:

-- DS-3032 - needs no Docs except barcode (Follow James SC to create one)

-- I-864 - All dox below, if you have sponser then + their dox

-----------1) Barcoded Cover Sheet (you will print out from web when your status is paid online for AOS bill)

-----------2) Completed I-864 signed

-----------3) Last 3 years tax transcipt (Call 1-800-829-1040 to get them)

-----------4) Original Employment Letter

-----------5) Copy of Paystubs for last 6 months

-----------6) Last 3 years W-2 and 1099 (any source of income) OPTIONAL

-- DS-230 - All dox below

-----------1) Two passport-sized photographs of the beneficiary

-----------2) Completed and signed form DS-230 Part I by the beneficiary

-----------3) Completed and unsigned form DS-230 Part II by the beneficiary

-----------4) Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page

-----------5) Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate

-----------6) Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate

-----------7) Original police certificates of the beneficiary

-----------8) Original/certified copy of military record, if applicable

-----------9) Original/certified copy of divorce decree, death certificate, etc. of previous marriage, if applicable

** -- I think all documents should be in ENGLISH and if not have them translated to English.

Note (I): It might be a good idea to email DS-3032 form from beneficiary's email address as soon as you know your case number from NVC. (please follow Loto's template)

Note (II): When you have your IIN you can log in here: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx using your Case# and IIN and pay the AOS bill as soon as it is available

Note (III): Don't rely on AVR system, try to talk to an operator.

Hi People

What are the odds of getting the same NVC operator on the phone twice?

Well maybe I am just unlucky but I got "Max" the operator to attend two different calls I made to the NVC, trying to get my IIN. :crying:

And guess what - he was equally uncooperative both times!!!

I am usually good at recognizing people's voice on the phone but I found it embaressing to talk to the same perosn twice for the same reason. I try to call in three shifts per day to make sure I won't talk to the same person twice.

When I was trying to get my IIN I actually jotted down the name of each rep I spoke with just so I could avoid that situation. Had anyone with the name of someone I'd already spoken with answered, I would have hung up and called back to get someone else. Never happened though. :)
