You put me to sleep doug.

First: You don't need to explain everything to your parents, they are only a human being (it is your life and your experience)

Second: He wants to sponser, ok! but NVC won't send him anything he needs to put the package together for I-864 and you should help him to fill it out

Third: Don't piss me off and get to work and stop talking negative or I will kick you out of CA and no trees for your to climb up.

Fourth: Get your freaking IIN and finish all Req. docs for I-864 and DS-230

Fifth: Don't you ever talk about your wife here in a public forum, recpect

Sixth: You are responsible for your own life so kick.

Peace

Why don't you just explain that this is the way that everyone is doing it. Its just a more modern way of getting the job done.

It's not illegal and it is not against the rules.

I hope you can finish up with the rest of us. If not you are going to be missed around here!!!

What is your father afraid will happen if you allow them to send things to you?

Even if you don't generate your own barcode, it is still a valid thing to do for her to email the choice of agent to NVC and have you designated. The only thing that changes then is where docs are mailed.

I cant even talk to him in a normal way because he's got problems, he thinks he knows everything and If I say something that he might not like he goes crazy. Just because we sent I-864 with our I-130 he thinks that they're not going to ask us again for all these documents.

I keep telling him what they're going to send us and my wife...he says okay well we'll just wait..

Don't tell him the details. You need him to provide some information, to sign a form (or possibly also to fill it out if he won't let you do it) but you don't need to get his approval on how you and your wife conduct the rest of your business. He's you co-sponsor, he's not the petitioner.

Just do what you need to do. Have your wife send the choice of agents and that will be that. Have her download and sign part I of the DS-230 and then fill it out for her. Have her review it. I just finished typing the remaining info into my husband's and he'll sign it tonight.

I'm not going to include an employment letter. I've got my IRS transcripts for the last 3 years (though I only need 1). I'm probably going to include some pay stubs but we don't get real ones anymore -- they're all download. My mother-in-law kept a log of every time Mike visited the US for the past 3 years. LOL!

So, once I get my IIN I'll be paying and getting ready for sending my stuff out.

Anyway, you do the same. You're not a child anymore. So handle your life the way you want to handle it. Be grateful that he wants to help. But don't bother him with any more details than he needs to have.

Even though he is sponsoring you will still have all the information. Don't give up so soon by thinking negative. Atleast start by getting the necessary information. You can start with the DS 3032 email that will eliminate that problem and should shave a week off of your wait time i think. If you think your wife will take a long time to fill out paper work, choose yourself as the agent, then when the forms have been recieved fill them out, send them for her to sign overnight. IF you use UPS or one of those, i think you can pay for the return charge, give her a couple of days to just read over the forms and print then send it back to you and you send it to NVC. Don't look at the negatives, find ways around them.

I'm actually a little behind you I think. I may have sent my packages out earlier, but since they came from Canada 'express' means 3 business days. They were just delivered to NVC yesterday. I may call tonight just to confirm that they are recieved, but I may just wait until Monday to check up on it. We'll see how I feel when I get home tonight. :)
