I remember hearing a phrase a long time ago..."stupid questions make more sense than stupid mistakes"...with that said...

(1) My work doesn't issue paycheck stubs...Will that be a problem??? I have a letter of employment from them stating last years wages and attesting to the fact that I have been employed with them for 12 years....

(2) I ordered my tax transcripts for the past 3 years but have not recieved them and I want to keep my "ball rolling" so I plan on sending COPIES of my returns (1040A), W-2, and 1099-INT forms for the past 3 years...COPIES ok or should I send the ORIGINALS ????...I had my taxes done at H&R Block each of those years, so what I given by them are basicaly copies...

(3) On the I-864

(a) Part 2, questions 6 & 7 where it asks for "alien registration number if any" and "U.S. social security number if any"...should I leave them BLANK or put N/A ????

(B) Part 6, question 25 (federal income tax return information) I selected "(Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal tax returns for my second and third most recent tax years"...above that selection it gives spaces to fill in "tax year" and "total income"...I dont need to fill them in being that I am providing my last 3 years of returns ??? ...actually, this question gives me the answer to my first question...lol...

© Is it OK to leave spaces BLANK to questions that do NOT apply to my situation????

Sorry for the stupid questions, filling out forms like these that have a bearing on something VERY important to me STRESSES me out...Thanks in advance for any input

All i get is "There will be a slight delay" does anyone else get this?

"All our operators are assisting other customers"

#### you with that annoying ### voice

Shpat, hang in there...after you press "1" for English, and "5" to speak to an operator...you'll hear annoying dude, and then a pause.

If annoying dude comes back and says it will be X minutes..just hang in there. If some chick speaking Spanish comes on...hang up...'cause after her

annoying dude comes back and says he's kicking your @$$ back to the automated system.

It's GOTTA come this week...we're all sending you positive energy.

1. Your letter of employment should be fine. If you want...you could send them copies of bank statements that show your direct deposit.

2. Ordered mine...never got them...kept moving without them.

3.a. I left them both blank.

3.b. I would still fill these in...it's a quick reference point for them to see your last 3 years earnings.

As for sending in the optional tax returns...as long as your current (and last 3 years) earnings meet the 125% poverty guideline, you don't have to send anything extra.

Additional tax returns are only needed if your case without them would appear inadequate.

Follow up with Ling Ling instruction about I-864 I would put N/A for any items which I don't have any answers for them. It is just me :D

LL,

Thanks for completing my instruction for online payments, i was so excited that I totally dropped that part. The payment hasn't been gone to my bank account so I don't know how long it will take them but problem is that if even my payment goes PAID, tomorrow I won't have any access to website to print my barcode sheet.

I guess doesn't make any difference anyways because NVC is closed on Saturdays. I will Express overnight on Saturday and will be there on Monday.

Iron Man is Available now.

Ling Ling has suggested you to read post # 293 of this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2178346

Make sure you have all supporting Docs for I-864 and DS-230

Make sure you have DS-230 and DS-3032 signed by beneficiary

Make sure you will have your IIN as soon as possible (Invoice Identification Number) by calling NVC and talk to a live person and ask them for it!!

Make sure you have all your forms filled out and ready to go.

You AOS and DS-3032 package will be generated somewhere from today to Sept. 10th

For online payments, you need to have your IIN number.

At last: Try to show up on this board and read the posts so you can catch up with rest of us. Ask questions!

Welcome and congrats. Have a look at the link at the top of my signature...post #293.

Do all of the doccuments for the DS-230 IV need to be translated? Birth/Marriage/Police certificates

Entered into system on 8-25 AOS not generated yet.

Translated in english and that is for sure. How do you expect an American official read a document in a different language?

Not true. There are ways for the consulate to read the document if it is in the official language of the country in which the consulate is located. Check the DOS website for more information on what is needed for your specific consulate as supporting documentation for the DS230.

Well, My wife is Iranian and her interview is in Italy. Do they requier to translate everything in Italian?

Probably I am not right, but don't forget you are applying to American Consulate and they only know one language and it is english. They might be able to read some Mandarin.

Is the DS-230 for the NVC or for the embassy? My wife has had visas to the states before and she didn't have to translate any of the documents for the embassy. All of the employees at the United States Embassy in Peru speak both English and Spanish.

I asked two people at NVC if the documents for the DS-230 need translations. They said if they are in English or Spanish they don't need to be translated. I am adding this just for information not advice. Of cource none of them have wanted to give me the IIN yet.

Thanks for the update. Don't get me wrong if I said everything should be in English. I thought the language here is English but I forgot I am living in California.
