Shpat, I think you should just write all the problems you might have with these forms and then we can help you to fill them up.

For DS-3230, you should probably email it when your time comes.

We were going to France but really didn't work out and we had to go to Germany. Well we are yet to see that Eifel tower. How do you like Paris?

What is your favorit between all these eurpean cities?

It was my 6th time in France, 4th time in Paris with my wife, and my 1st time seeing the Eifel tower up close.

Paris is a great city...expensive...but great. My French sucks, so I prefer Italy (Roma and Milano) or Spain (Barcelona).

My favourite European city is Glasgow, Scotland. There's just something special about that place....especially a nightclub

there called, "Sub-Club"....you just feel at home there. I lived in London for a couple of years, but never really felt "home".

Oh...for Shpat...Amsterdam is a nice place to visit too ;)

Do all of the doccuments for the DS-230 IV need to be translated? Birth/Marriage/Police certificates

Entered into system on 8-25 AOS not generated yet.

Translated in english and that is for sure. How do you expect an American official read a document in a different language?

Not true. There are ways for the consulate to read the document if it is in the official language of the country in which the consulate is located. Check the DOS website for more information on what is needed for your specific consulate as supporting documentation for the DS230.

Well, My wife is Iranian and her interview is in Italy. Do they requier to translate everything in Italian?

Probably I am not right, but don't forget you are applying to American Consulate and they only know one language and it is english. They might be able to read some Mandarin.

Is the DS-230 for the NVC or for the embassy? My wife has had visas to the states before and she didn't have to translate any of the documents for the embassy. All of the employees at the United States Embassy in Peru speak both English and Spanish.

DS-230 will be checked by NVC, if there is something missing you will get an RFE. You guys can do whatever you want, I won't risk anything.

My bad if I threw something from my pocket.

Nah...I think you're right. Better to translate as much as possible for the secretarial pool at NVC.

Maybe they don't make the final decision, but they check everything before it goes to the Embassy.

I'd rather get an RFE from NVC than find out at the interview, that something is missing or incorrect.

Sure the Embassy has native speaking staff members, but I'd prefer to have my communication understandable

by many rather than a few....hence English & Native.

You think I've been on vacation?

Let's see....Starting in January (returning from our Honeymoon in Cosat Rica)

We spent a week in Cancun, Mexico, a week in Ishigaki, Japan, a week in Tokyo,

a week in Kona, Hawaii, another visit to Tokyo, two trips to Paris, a trip to London....

Yeah...I guess we get around :)

But for the last 3 months, business has been slow (I'm a film editor).

Good thing I've still got invoices coming in from past work....but I'm gonna have to start working again...soon.

Matter of fact...I've gotta teach some classes in editing next week....ALL WEEK.

Last time I had to work 5 days in a row (on a schedule) was probably Aug 2000 (when I walked/ran away from Corporate Amerikkka)

Yeah...it does kinda suck being me. ;))

hey ling ling how did you get an interview date before getting ur case completed at NVC??

Ahhhh young Grasshoper...

By applying for CR-1 AND K-3.

The K-3 allows you to make an appointment once the applicant is ready.;-)

You put the interview out far enough that your case will complete (hopefully....and if it doesn't...YOU can change the interview date).

THEN, once your CR-1 is approved...you call the Embassy and tell them you want to swap for the CR-1 interview.

You are witnessing the Evolution of Family Based Immigration thanks to

the collaborated efforts of the VJ community.

Timeline
Well, I as a guy do some Janitorial work at home during normal hours. Business hours being an Intern Arkitect + last year of architecture school (fifth)

for Off time job, talking on the phone with Big Boss. Some night get couple min. of sleep but do hit the gym 5 in the morning.

Vacation wise, haven't been on one for almost a year, last time was Germany-time before Spaint and Italy and time before that Austria and Germany ---> Thiland -----> Turkey

Immigration wise, Happy to be done with USCIS at least for another three years

done with short profile.

See....I knew you were a hard worker...much harder worker than I.

Now when I've got a project, I sink my teeth into it...just like this I put my teeth into

this whole visa thing. Call it compulsive...that's my work ethic.

Just wish I could focus on more than one thing at a time.

Arkitect...cool...stop by soon, I've got some changes I wanna make to the house. ;)

Hi everybody,

my husband finally got our NVC case number yesterday. The live operator told him that they would generate the DS-3032 Choice of Agent and AOS bill at the end of this week. They didn´t give him the IIN number.

What should I do? Should I wait until they generate DS-3032 or should I send it by e-mail today?

Thanks very much
