Yes I am here once and a while checking on things... you probably have already gotten his green card by now but i suggest getting a state ID while you're at it... it just looks better the Fresh Off the Boat with the green card and all. We made up resume's etc while waiting. Let me tell you not sure it's the job market or the fact he is Arabic or that he is FOB but getting a job is really hard.

Hope everyone is doing well... do we have anyone still left waiting???

Hey Lars (and all),

Glad to see this thread hasn't died completely.

Ring Ring has her SS#, opened a bank account, and has been practicing driving. Even drove on the expressway last night.

Peace and Love to all who have completed the journey, and all those who remain on the journey.

Agreed...a STATE ID (and/or driver's license) is much better to carry around than a Green Card. If you lose the GC, you're looking at almost $900 bucks to replace it.

Most state IDs are under $20 bucks.

A a very big congrats to you and thanks for the information..... What about the vaccinations? It is my understanding that as a CR-1 these must be done before the medical.

Thnaks because I will be over there in about two weeks to go to Guangzhou with her. She can not come to Amercia yet because my step sons paperwork is still sitting in Chinese customs. Once his clears and she returns for his interview she will come to America. I would tell you the story about all the problems the lawyer I used for awhile made a big mistake in the paperwork.
