Good Luck Nichole!!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

It is very likey that my husband has a lifetime ban with the possibility of a waiver after 10 years outside the USA. The laws are very shady and I want to find an experienced attorney in the matter, but no one in my area has that expertise. So we are going to just put our case on hold for the next 9 years and then continue it then.

Been waiting for a replacement interview letter as the Embassy agreed to move my interview date forward to 5th Dec.

Well it hadn't arrived and I was just wondering where it was when a neighbour from the farm up the road came down holding it. She had just found it in her dog's bed!

Apparently he has a habit of lying in wait for the postman and stealing a bit of post which he then just keeps and sleeps with. She found it today when she was cleaning his bed and has no idea how long he's had it!!

Thank goodness he didn't just chew it up - we would never have known where it went!

Nicole, since nobody in the world can probably tell you what the US will do, wouldn't it make more sense for you to continue with the process to *see* if he does indeed have a ban? Yes, you could lose money, but wouldn't it be a worthwhile investment? It seems to me getting a definitive answer from the US government would be a stronger answer than any lawyer could give you.

You're so close, just go for it.

The alternative plan sounds fine -- do you have to do anything to move to Mexico?

But finish this process. What's the worst thing they can say? No, right?

Or is there some additional punishment that could occur for trying and being turned down?
