Still no sign of my case at NVC on the automated system

Live person might know your case number while AVR is yet to update. That was at least my case. They should have your case by today or tomorrow the lastest.

My bills are not generated yet I don't see any good sign of them online. I am repeating this to my self "Be Patient"

Mine either

but I guess I should wait till like the end of the week!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Translated in english and that is for sure. How do you expect an American official read a document in a different language?

Not true. There are ways for the consulate to read the document if it is in the official language of the country in which the consulate is located. Check the DOS website for more information on what is needed for your specific consulate as supporting documentation for the DS230.

Thanks nimche, CHD for answers!!! I sent it USPS Express. I have not waived signature, was afraid that it could get lost :-(.

Will try to call tomorrow following your advises, however today I am very upset with that situation...

USPS Express is ok, do not worry, USPS either deliver again on business day, or NVC will pick it up, they do USPS mail runs in any case.

Very relieved to hear this. Last thing I want to stress out over is my lost package.

CS

Check online to see if it was delivered today. I sent something that was delivered on Saturday...it was picked up on the Monday.

Well, My wife is Iranian and her interview is in Italy. Do they requier to translate everything in Italian?

Probably I am not right, but don't forget you are applying to American Consulate and they only know one language and it is english. They might be able to read some Mandarin.

IIN obtained

I tried, like so many others this morning, to NVC and got a busy tone twice, third time I got through and after waiting 10 minutes, spoke to a live rep. who sounded like she had a loooong weekend and an even looooonger morning....I was leaning back in my chair when she asked how she could help me, wondering what reason I would get for her not being able to give me my IIN, I replied "I would like my invoice identification number" and just about fell off my chair  trying to get my pen to a piece of paper when she started reading the number to me...I had her repeat it 3 times and her tone seemed to change each time she repeated it  lol...I was shocked after I got off the phone, I was expecting to wage phone warfare for the entire day trying to get that #...Just keep calling, someone will eventually give you the number...good luck to all
