Quick question If I want to find out if my case has left NVC how many days should I wait before I can call them?

And do I have to also call the embassy to find out if they got it or what should I do?

Did they schedule the interview? About 5-7 days after they schedule it.

How do you find out the date? Do they send the petitioner something, or do you just call them?

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

Welcome home Nimche and Mimche.

I'm soooo happy for the two of you. I bet you didn't even need an airplane...you could've FLOATED back to SD. :)

Shpat congrats on your case complete.

Per Nimche, you need to report for your medical exam (and punishment for bad joke).

I've got my glove ready

Nicole, hang in there. Give us an update...we're all thinking of you.

Hello guys and gals. We are back and shocked.

POE experience was kind of crazy but its done.

We got to JFK and went through immigration. We went through Citizenship line together. Immigration officer (lady) looked at my passport and slide it thru and gave it back to me and then look at Mimche's Visa (Visa has her picture, where she got the visa, case number, registeration number (becomes her A#) IV catagory, issue and Expiers date, and at the bottom clearly say"UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDECNCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR")

Officer said "I used to know how to do this" and she asked for the package and opened it and went through everything and she asked if there was another paper? and we said "NO" and after 5 min. back and fourth she took us to secondary room and she put all of our papers in room which no one was there and asked us to be seated.

We had connecting flight so after 5 min. I told one of the officers that we do have a connecting flight in 30 min. and I told her that our case is in that room and she was like "what?" and she got the papers and called Mimche's name and asked her to sign and Finger Stampe on a sheet and gave our custome form and her passport back.

She said that the actual card will be mailed to our mailing address and we didn't miss our connecting flight but we were the last passengers enerting to the plane.

On Mimche's passport on half of the visa and passport next page in front of the visa there is the Stampe which says "addmited NYC and the date and VC: IR1 and her A#.

I guess we should be set to go.

I will answer any questions later if anyone has any. We are going to shop stuff today, start with an I-phone for Mimche...

Peace

You are "the" man and Ring Ring "the" woman.

Thank you for your good wishes but I think you should sleep little more. You got up in middle of the night and post like an addict? (I am still wondering where is my VJ heart)

Everything is good well, and there is nothing to worry about.

I almost forgot. Mimche filled out one I-94 card in plane but the Officer tossed it away so I think we don't need it.

Cheers

Hey all,

Nimche, first I want to congratulate you and your wife, :D you are together now.

I have a question for you. My husband will have his interview in Italy and I was wondering if your wife had to show any other proof, did they ask for anything like photos, emils and so on. You said her interview went good, I hope it will be the same for my husband. I know we haven't even received the NOA2 yet (its taking sooo long), but we are trying to prepare so we have everything we need.

Thanks Nimche

That makes sense to me. The I-94 is an arrival/departure record for VISITORS. If you have an Immigrant Visa (CR-1/IR-1)

you are not visiting, and not limited to a specific departure date per se.

Not sure why Martina had to show an I-94, except that the officer was inexperienced or confused.

Anyway, I'm counting down to Ring Ring coming home :)
