Yeah NImch... our new president's speech made me cry.. seriously, i don't know why exactly but totally moved me then i cried cause i am alone... and then i cried for happiness cause I won't be alone much longer lol... bundle of emotions i think

Gotta question for you on the interview I read all they need to bring (see below)

................................................................................

..................

Interview Forms / Items: 1. Valid Passport.

2. Original or certified "long" birth certificate. *

3. Original adoption decree. (if applicable)

4. Original or certified copy of the marriage certificate. (if applicable)

5. Original death certificate. (if applicable)

6. Original divorce decree. (if applicable)

7. Police certificate. **

8. Court record(s) (if applicable).

9. I-864 Affidavit of Support Form along with past 3 year U.S tax returns (or transcripts) and any other financial documents required. (see poverty limits here)

10. Court and prison records.(if applicable)

11. Medical examination information

12. Two passport-type photos (see specification) of the spouse or benefitiary

* You should have the originals on hand at this point for the Final Interview. Per the Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM), they may also be unavailable. Or certain countries don't have individual birth certificates as understood in the US, but the FAM will describe the suitable document. The consulate can explain the alternate requirements to the beneficiary in detail.

** On police clearances, as per the FAM, they may be unavailable. Or with some countries [Korea comes to mind], they will be sent directly to the consulate from the involved government. The consulate can explain the alternate requirements to the beneficiary in detail.

On The day of your relatives (or spouses) interview, he/she must bring EVERY document listed above that applies to your case, and should be prepared for a long wait. There may be additional forms required. The interview appointment sheet will contain a list of everything you must bring. It will also tell you the payment amount due and the forms of payment accepted.

Good question. I was also wondering if for sure our husband's will get their originals back because my husband can't go back to get more of those. They have his only birth certificate.

Married: May 28th, 2007

Arrived in the US: December 10th, 2008

I would call NVC and make sure that they are sending the orginals to the embassy. That is my understanding. If that is the case, then they will already have them at the interview. I would think everyone would be in the same boat if they sent everything to the NVC.

Then you would just worry about him bring maybe 2 passport pictures, passport, sealed medical and a bunch of proof that your marriage is still on going. (letters, phone bills, money transfers, emails, pictures etc)

If it was a K3, then they would need all those things because NVC does not ask for them before they send it to the embassy. (You might have read the general requirements that would be for other visas) But since NVC asks for everything but your husband's underwear for a CR1, you should be good to go.

Don't sweat the documents Rajaa. If you already submitted originals then the Embassy will have them. You should receive a copy of your husband's appointment letter soon, and on the last page it will give a breakdown of what documents they have received and which you will need to bring. It lists all possible documents required and give one of 10 'status' codes. Mine are the following, so I know there is nothing further that I need to bring (still bringing copies of everything though):

F - This form is not necessary for this application

O - The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post requirements

Y - The required document has been received and accepted

So What are the weirdest questions they can ask my wife???

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!
