Well I just got home from my medical in Toronto and it seems I have passed, but it was far from a smooth ride (as expected). The doctor did tell me that due to my psychiatric history, his report will indicate a class B medical condition. He explained that this class indicates a physical or mental abnormality that is unlikely to present a public health concern, and that it is not terribly uncommon, as having so much as high blood pressure will put you in this category. He then explained that it is unlikely to affect the outcome of my visa unless the consular officer has reason to believe that I could pose a threat to others, or that I could be deemed ineligible for medical insurance and become a public charge. All in all he was very gentle and understanding and reassuring. If any of the other Canadians in our dear thread are interested in reading more about the entire office experience for Toronto, I will be posting a detailed review in the Canada forum shortly.

And it looks like our little group alone has 4 interviews tomorrow...I wish you all the best of luck!

You must be so relieved to have that over with! I am sure everything will be fine at the interview as well.

Just a quick question & I will check the Canada forum for a reply. Did you need to have a TB skin test result from your family MD as part of the vaccination requirements? Other threads have suggested this is necessary but I was sure that it was not. THXS You can now countdown to the interview. :D

I mean, did you offer it, or did they start asking about physical evidence....etc?

No I haven't got it up yet...chipping away at it bit by bit. It will be very loooong and detailed, because I want others with less than ideal histories to have a good reference (something I was completely unable to find).

I did offer it. the panel physician went down the "Have you ever had..." checklist and when he got to psychiatric issues I said yes, presented the letter from my doctor, and answered all of his questions.. I know a few of you said that they probably wouldn't notice/ask about the scars...but I know what those scars look like, and there would have been no hiding it once it was time for the physical exam anyway. . There IS a spot on the form for the physician to indicate if the patient attempted to hide or lie about anything...and I can't imagine things would turn out well if the 'yes' box were checked there.

Congrats CHD!!!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!
