I've heard your suppose to have a cover letter. And also have them in the 2 whole punch thing for THICK AMOUNTS OF documents.

I just attached something very short and simple to each stack of STAPLED document copies...

Here's how i organized it.

1. First stack is the Marriage. Pretty much everything pertaining in legal document to it supporting the process and stuff needed for us to marry and stay married.

2. Second stack is the FLIGHT Itinerary from the internet and copies of the ticket stubs, stickers, luggage labels

3. Third is Proof of who I am. Citizenship Certificate, Birth Certificate, 5 IDs front/back, Copy of FULL passport (every page).

4. Fourth proof of Aimee (Wife). Birth Record, Citizenship Registration, Voters ID, School ID, Police Record, NBI Clearance, NSO Clearance, School Transcripts, Passport (every page).

5. Military and School Records (MINE).....honorable medical discharge papers, VA documents, college transcripts, high transcripts, VA Disability and Pension Awards ($$$).

I wrote a small letter with my name, address, social, etc....state what the application was for and what was included....and who it was for.

Basically thats it.

don't have the nice funds for a lawyer...or to make this whole package LEGAL PROFESSIONAL TYPE.

but i figure as long as its thorough and organized....its good.

It doesn't look to be so much of environemetally friendly because of amount of papers.

Bigger problem is, I don't even know what are you doing? Applying for your spouse with I-130? In middle of NVC process or what?

aha, Welcome to this forum. I see you are brand new. You should fill out your timeline. Either in your Signature or in VJ timeline.

Post your questions

Peace

I'm submitting the I-130 and g-325a (5 pages) from wifey and me.

for CR1 --- Green Card.

ummmm stupid question but do you have the forms filled out? I didn't staple mine but put our uscis number on the top of everything...

buying a round trip ticket in most cases is definately cheaper...no doubt...but, if i am not mistaken, you can only get away with that when and if the first "leg" of the trip is used and not the second...i am sure someone else can correct me if i am wrong (which has only happened once when i filled out a I-864 way back in sept. of 2008)...nimche, congrats bro...we are all getting close to INTERVIEW time, i'm kinda getting a little anxious for the upcoming date...this whole ride through immigration citizenship has been hell to say the least...what is everyone else planning on bringing to the interview???? pics, phone cards, emails...etc???

quick update : i received the actual appointment letter in the mail on the 20th, she recieved her's on the 23rd, the day after i left... was kinda hoping to be there to do the medical exam with her, but will be there for for the inteview on the 4th...i have been fortunate enough to been able to visit Peru alot, but even with that, the long distance relationship has had it's trying moments...my hats off to those who struggle through this never ending tourture of being away from those who you want to be closest with, without so much as a single touch in months, or maybe years...calling cards are a fixture of my life, something i have become accustomed to these days...some people go to the store to scratch off lottery tickets, i go to the store to scratch off calling cards...i win every time............and so does my verizon wireless!!!...lol...i just want to thank everyone for all the support, help and confidence i recieved from this thread with getting through NVC...Nimche...Ling...Chd...etc...and everyone else...THIS THREAD ROCKS !!!!

I feel you, I'm peruvian and my hubby passed through that, the whole long distance relationship, the thousands of dollars on phone cards, the continuos trips to Peru, money here, money there, but it's worth it, soon you will have your wifey/fiance with you here in the USA and you will remember these days as part of your love story. Hang in there and good luck in the interview!

To my interview I'll be bringing our our wedding photo book, birthday/anniversary/valentine's day cards, flight itineraries, moneygram receipts, and 14 months worth of phone records showing 1-4hr conversations nearly every day. Only thing I'm a little concerned about is post-wedding pictures of the 2 of us. We have exactly 5, and 2 of those are practically the same, so technically only 3 (yeah we're a little camera shy). I figure with everything else it shouldn't be a huge issue. Would be nice if we had more, but 3's better than 0, right?
