No news from NVC, still telling me to call in november, to see if they scheduled me for dec!

Is there anything else I can do? Who do I pay off to get something done around here :)

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

My hubby just reported that he got our appointment letter in the mail. It feels really real now. I am getting soooo nervous about the upcoming few weeks. I just need to stop thinking about the medical and the interview and focus on the image of decorating the Christmas tree with my hubby back home when its all over.

Grrr...

I got an RFE on the DS-230...and for something that I included in the packet!

They are requesting an original or certified copy of my hubby's BC. The problem is that I already sent the certified copy and a copy of the certified copy along with my packet. I told the operator that the BC I sent is the official certified copy and that it is even stamped in blue ink with the registrar's seal. She said that it's in "final review" and to wait 10 to 15 days to see if they'll accept it anyway. From how she said it, it sounds like they'll still give me a "case complete", but that I'll have to bring another certified copy to the interview?

I'm just confused because, first, she stated that the DS-230 review had been completed and then she went on to tell me that a checklist had been sent out. Then, she told me to ignore the checklist because they might still accept the copy I sent?

I'm soooo confused...

Has anyone had to deal with this?

Master Rajaa, thanks for your kind words. Good luck for Friday...you deserve a great weekend.

Ring Ring is going to pickup the results from her medical today (no vaccinations required).

JessyRafa, just hang in there...call back tomorrow. If it's in final review, you should be "good to go".

Ilya, I'm afraid you're going to have to take a lil' break from calling NVC....many people envy you.

Babybebita....where are you? Hope all is well and happy.

Thanks for the package Nimche, it helps...just hard to swallow sometimes.

SGR, I haven't seen Shpat...I think he was captured by Albanians that want Kosova back.

Oh...and whoever started publishing Supervisor Sxx's name....not sure that's the best thing to do.

I think we should share that kind of information via PM, rather than on an open forum.

I mean, publishing government policies, forms, and what not...I think that should be public.

But specific names...could have an adverse effect. Besides the obvious privacy issues, it means that

people who don't really have a need for them, may start requesting them because they know the name...and

then these great, friendly, efficient, and accessible supervisors....will not be.

Contacting Supervisor Sxx for an expedite request, is perfectly fine. But contacting her because you're not getting an IIN

or because you don't know where to get your medical, or because of something else that you can either find or that is nearly impossible...

well, I think you see what I mean.

Just my thoughts.

It was me..but i didnt say ANYTHING about an expedite in my post. She just happened to be the supervisor I was transferred to. Someone else said they dealt with her for that.

Those pics from Japan that some of yall wanted to see...

And then show some love with this link

http://tinyurl.com/6ru9do

both are safe for work.

Dr. these are awesome pics man. Really happy to see them and I hope she can get here ASAP.

Thanks for sharing and the what is the second link, it comes back to VJ. Does it mean I am hacked?

I am hoping to get an expedite for an interview date. 6 or 7 more months is awful! She said they dont make that decision though..that the US embassy does..abotu an expedite..what do you think??

I am agreed with Dr. Ling about the name, second that senator might help even more.

You should just wait little longer and your dream will come through....

I didnt call asking for an expedite. I called asking about my RFE and they sent me to her. I didnt even know she was for expedites. But now that she is given so much attention over this debate I guess it defeats the purpose of telling me not to mention a name. After I talked to her we talked about an expedite..but taht is not why I called her.

My senator- his advice was file the 129F and they would "mail it to me" 3 days later I received a large envelope with 4 pages of directions..no forms. Not to mention that i know where to get the forms from and I didnt need them. this is just one of the lovely interactions I have had with him. Joyful.

So- sorry for the name drop, but I didnt associate her with the expedite until someone else already did.

I should just wait a little longer? There are people from Jamaica that had case complete in June and still do not have interviews. Case complete does not hold the same hope for me as it does people from countries with a fast interview date. and nimche, werent you the one that mentioned she was that kind of supervisor anyway?
