So with everything said then putting in present should be fine

Seems 'present' was accepted in every case but Rajaa's.

I found RFE in NVC very unclear. I am yet to see what was thr problem with my PCC which the case worker found it wrong. After the supervisor review everything was right so I assume not all the case workers following the very same procedure.

I still urge Rajaa, to call and ask for supervisor and insist to have a supervisor to review the case again.

PRESENT should be the most right answer.

Yeah, when it comes to RFE's I really don't think the telephone reps have the slightest clue. But of course they won't just be honest and TELL you that, but instead pretend like the issue is something that they think makes sense. Like when I called to get details on my RFE the first rep told me it was because my PCC wasn't from the RCMP office, even though the instructions they provide clearly indicate that it doesn't have to be. The second rep said it was because mine only indicated a"Canada-wide search" rather than the specific database that was used, but then when the hard copy came in the mail it clearly stated this as acceptable wording for a PCC. To make matters worse, the actual RFE letter STILL didn't tell me specifically what was wrong with it, so I had to make a guess (which appeared to be right). So frustrating...

Even my RFE letter was not right. I was totally shocked by this.

I am sure in USCIS form, word "present" is part of the form. I remember that very well.

USCIS has more experience on the issue but they don't have the right people to do the job.

Yep, I just pulled up my G-325A and they have "Present Time" printed right on the form in the 'To' field for the first line of both address and employer.

So with everything said then putting in present should be fine

Putting in "Present" is apparently what they would like.

HOWEVER, when we sent in our DS-230 in September of 2008, we had 10-2008 (instead of present).

I can only GUESS that we didn't get an RFE because the date was in the future...which in theory should possibly trigger an RFE,

but then you have to consider that the NVC only REVIEWS the DS-230 Visa Application, the Embassy approves it.

If I've further confused anyone...best thing to do is use the Nimche DS-230 and put in "Present".

So with everything said then putting in present should be fine

Seems 'present' was accepted in every case but Rajaa's.

Nope...you've gotta look back at all of Rajaa's recent posts...she left a date field BLANK.

Another stupid RFE that nobody deserves....especially not on their anniversary. :(

to add more to the confusion...we put 9-2008, which , at the time, was the correct and the PRESENT answer, now if NVC wants us to anticipate when and or our DS-230 is and or is processed then they should tell us if and or when they want us to specify the date so we can do so accordingly...MAKES SENSE??...uhhhhhhhh...NOT REALLY.....

They should just let the embassy to deal with this kind of stuff. It should be really easy for anyone to change it during their interview.

NVC makes a fuss out of stupid stuff.

I agree. i can understand an RFE for a missing document, skipped question, or conflicting response, but when it something so trivial that its really nothing more than not knowing exactly how they want us to word the response, its just petty BS.

In the case of my RFE, I have a feeling that the cover letter to my RFE provided the information that they actually wanted to see (that I no longer receive alimony and that my salary as quoted by my company was the sole basis for my support) but certainly there was no way of knowing what they actually wanted based on the text of the RFE.

We should start a database of RFEs -- the text and then what we did to resolve it and the outcome.

I do think that the telephone person did provide me with helpful information though. I think she honed in on the issue that was giving them issues even if I think her focus on my past income was off-base. So anything I couldn't explain by changing numbers on the form (or simply by providing the non-EZ form) I handled with verbage in the cover letter.
