No updates for me. Still waiting for next week Tuesday or Wed. or any email from embassy.

Rajaa, you still have tomorrow and today. keep on calling and never give up. You know it will be soon and you will be done. Try to enjoy the time, at least you have somthing to worry about. I don't even have a InterView Date which sucks big time. If I had my case in NVC by now I had an interview.

Ling Ling, so you are in DC?

Iyla, yours will be done soon as well. I always hated those generic responses from USCIS and now NVC. Mine used to be "6-8" and then moved to "3-5" and then "2-4" and then "1-3" and then "10 days" and then "we don't know where is your case" and now its time for embassy to play with our life.

Anyone knows here where we can but USCIS stock or Immigration stocks? They are about $100 per share. and it just goes up...

Okay I'll give them a break, if they give me a break.

So say 25% of my 440$ payment, sounds legit?

What kind of break are we talking about?

Tax break?

Money break?

15 min. break?

Please be clear...

seeeeeee man give them a break imagine 2000 cases and doing this phew

I was really wonder.

He was italian working in US Consulate. I know, normally western european countries don't like to live in the US much. I mean there is nothing wrong with Italy and I assume they have very comfortable life overthere.

I have no idea where did he get 2000 applicant number.

I am not even sure, if they have processed 2000 application since they opened US consulate in Naples?

They always have to lie somehow that it doesn't make sense anyway..

Today is a good day. :content::energy::P

Case Completed as of yesterday at NVC. :star:

Now what happens next?

Congrats !!!!

Since we haven't put this into the guide...here's what happens next.

1. NVC sets an appointment date for you and sends out your package to the US Embassy.

If you're really #######, paranoid, or just a busybody, you can track the package status.

You can use the date after your interview was assigned, as the tracking reference date, and then do a search on DHL.

The format to use is "EXP 07 OCT 2008A" don't forget the spaces.

The website for tracking is.

http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

The package may not go out on the next day, but the reference code will still be for that date.

When your package is able to be tracked, it will make more sense.

You'll see a list of packages going to different embassies. You'll know which one is yours.

2. Embassy receives the package.

3. If your spouse hasn't had their medical, now is the time.

4. Spouse interviews, turns in medical, hands in passport.

5. Passport is returned.

6. Spouse gets on a plane.

7. Spouse gets off a plane.

8. Husband and wife (and possibly childrend) are united.

9. You live happily ever after.

10. The journey is done.

LING LING, what about correspondence to the beneficiary notifying the appointment date and requirements for the interview? Isn't there a package (I don't know if it's call packet3 packet4 or what) that someone? (NVC, embassy) mails to the beneficiary with copies to the petitioner outlining the next steps? When do they do that?

I have not gone through the whole thing, but apparently embassy will send a package to the beneficiary at first saying where is the Medical appointment and how and what docs they need. (you can call this package 3 if you will)

Then They will give you the interview date and all docs they may need (you can call this package 4 if you will)

But, some embassies send one package for everything and some you can ask them to email you the stuff and that would be alot easier.

Timeline for that is different from embassy to embassy but I say usually from 5-15 days from the date embassy has the package, they will notify the beneficiary for further instructions.

For K-3 visa applicants and K-1 this process may differ again from embassy to another embassy but packages are very important since they will submit their docs to the embassy instead of NVC.
