i went to the national visa center page

and found they make the interview appointments.....so couldn't that mean i can call them when/if "case complete" happens and they can tell me when the appointment is made? instead of waiting for the letter (packet 3)??

I recall you changed your consulate...but I don't recall where to...let's presume it's to Morocco.

So...there's 2 embassies in Morocco, Rabat and Casablanca (I really wanna visit Casablanca).

Visas are handled at Casablanca. Casablanca is on the list you referred to....so it's an "Appointment Post".

So...NVC schedules your appointment. HOWEVER, I do understand that you can contact the DoS about your case...to the extent

that they can VIEW the same information as NVC, but they can't act on anything...only NVC can.

As long as you don't get an RFE, I don't see any reason you wouldn't get an interview in November.

Funny thing with our case is...even if we had everything for the IV and AOS ready to go when the fee bills were paid,

(meaning we "could" have been out of NVC 22 days from NOA2) we could've picked any Monday in October for the interview...but due to wifEy's schedule,

she wouldn't have been able to interview any sooner than Oct. 27th....and because they're renovating during the last week of October, they only took

a handful of interviews for Oct. 27th....so we'd STILL have an interview date no sooner than Nov. 4th

All this time I thought I was losing time or we were slowing things down...we were actually right on schedule.

you know i never looked forward to monday as much as when i didn't have a case in NVC....

As a child I didn't like Mondays because I had to go to school. But now, I love MOndays...

Yes, NVC will make your appointment. And I still say keep pushing hard.

There's a story about a man in the ocean in the middle of a storm.

I'm more spiritual than I am religious. If I were to pick a religion, my thoughts would be closer to Buddhism...it's more of the

"Self-Help Religion" where you're not just expected to wait for things to happen, but know that you have a responsibility

to do your part.

I have a question, I am planning to go to USA in October, but My husband has a trip to Canada in November, and I like to go with him. My question is, Can I travel to Canada from USA and Come back without the Green Card only with the Passport??

What they give you in your passport serves as a temporary greencard until the plastic one arrives in the mail. It grants the same benefits, including re-entry after travel.

LL i love that story btw... i've heard it in a similar way but it's always a good reminder.

i don't think i should start calling DOD yet since they probably have no idea about our case yet. But you know i will be all over NVC until case complete that's forsure.

FYI.... just got IV bill in the mail..lol thank goodness i did it online can you imagine how long it would take if we waited the snail mail way?

08/29/08 IV bill "PAID" status (AVR says , they received DS3032)

08/29/08 DS-230 generated

09/02/08 DS-230 and required documents mailed

09/03/08 DS-230 form arrives at NVC per usps

09/04/08 DS-230 information entered into NVC system

09/15/08 CASE COMPLETE(32 days no RFE)

10/15/08 sent to consulate

11/10/08 Medical PASSED

11/18/08 Interview....VISA GRANTED ...
