Thank you Nimche. Although I'm probably looking at December for my interview. Montreal is usually a bit backlogged, last I checked. I just really really want to be home by Christmas or I'll be one sad panda. :(

Which home are you talking about? Canda or US with your hubby?

My home is where my husband is.

My bad, that was a dumb question. I would like to visit Canada once with wify when she gets here...

Argh. They didn't like my 864EZ and want an 864. Luckily I have one filled out at work but it is irritating that they want it.

MsZ, Do you mind sharing why they did not accept your I-864EZ, Becasue I also submited EZ this week but as long as all the requirement is met we should be ok right.

This is what I send.

AOS Cover Sheet

My Own Cover Sheet

I-864EZ Sign & Dated

IRS Transcript with each year W2 attached for 2007,2006,2005

Orignial Job Letter

Seven Paycheck ( 3 Months )

Does any one think I missed any thing. Thank You Rmusic

Nimche, What do you think about my I-864EZ is there any problem sending EZ to NVC. Who schedule the Interview NVC or the Cousulate where the actual interview going to be.

hi all!

I am a september approval but i thought i would come to you guys for advice. I really really want to do everything in my power to try to get a november interview date. so, here's my question. My IV bill should be invoiced tomoorow for me to pay it. I want to be able to mail off the ds-230 package by Monday to NVC but the issue is we dont have the police report yet, willl have by wednesday. So, i was thinking to mail the ds-230 package wihtout the police report on monday, so atleast the processing can begin and then by wednesday or thursday, mail the police report separtely and just tell them i forgot to add it in. What do you guys think, will this work or cause it to delay even more? I was thinking if i mail the police report by wednesday then there isnt enough time for them to issue the rfe and they can just put itwith my paperwork. Any advice guys?

Its kind of cool to do it this way but you should always put some room aside in case NVC got confused and screwed up your case.

If I were in your position and I knew for sure that PCC will be in my hand by Wed. I would wait till then and overnight the whole package. I am sure you take full responsibility of your action here, but what if the officer look at your case day after NVC recieves it which is Wed and your PCC is not there, BANG, RFE is on its way.

I have told everyone and you on top of it, make sure your forms are all filled out and PART I signed and PART II unsigned. Double check question 20 and make sure you have all dates on the form.

Double check all of your evidence.

Don't risk for an RFE for couple days.

Good Luck

thanks for your answer! We just really somehow want a november interview date... If i wait and NVC gets my documents by thursday the 9th, i really truly doubt that our case will be completed by the 15th, so we could maybe get a november date. Well, we will still keep our fingers crossed and hope for that. thanks again! good luck to you too!

Choochoo,

I'll go against Sir Saint Nimche the Good and Gold.

If you were trying to be as safe as possible, you should probably wait until you have everything.

But you're not trying to be as safe, you're trying to be as aggressive in getting your case complete.

Given that, if you go conservative...you're right, you most likely won't get a November interview.

If you go aggressive, there's a small chance, and the worst case is that you're back to the conservative timeline.

The key is...TRIPLE check everything you're sending in. Get someone that's not involved, show them the instructions, and THEN

have them look over your paperwork. Do a search for "Stupid RFE" on the forum. Make sure you're aware of all the things that can be avoided.

Send off your IV Package on Saturday, use USPS express...do not require a signature.

As soon as you have your PCC, send it express, but send it (with the barcode sheet) to ATTN: DR (instead of ATTN: CMR).

Part of your plan HAS to be calling NVC twice a day to find out if you have an RFE. Call once before 5pm, and after 5pm.

You're asking for a lot to happen before Oct. 17th, but it's possible.

Good luck.

Yo Nimche,

I was just wondering, whatever happened to the spunky kid in Maryland, Shpat?

Did he get his AOS Package together?

I heard he paid his IV Fee Bill...what's up with his IV Package?

You think he's serious? You think he's trying to beat your record of 4 years?

No sir, you have not failed....the process is flawed and has failed all of us.

We'll get this sorted. You are not alone....your VJ family is here.

wifEy got medical results....no vaccinations needed.

Also, they changed the interview date to Nov. 4th

So I'll be waiting for TWO important "good" news items on Nov. 4th

rmusic, they didn't supply a lot of helpful information in their instructions. They have a generic letter pertaining to "a review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support and supporting documents that you revealed that you have provided incomplete information in your response or you have not responded to some questions."

Then there's the checklist :

[x] Donna (sponsor/joint sponsor) must complete and submit an I-864

[x] This form must be completed by typewriter or in blue or black ink.

So, they plain old don't think I'm eligible for the EZ. Makes me wish I hadn't changed my mind at the last minute about it. It probably has to do with our children, but since I'm not sponsoring the kids at this time, I felt I was eligible for the EZ. Guess they feel differently.

If you don't have any children in the picture, I wouldn't worry about the EZ.

As far as I can tell, they were fine with the evidence I supplied (transcripts, etc.)

I wish I knew that if I called them they'd actually look at the case and be able to tell me exactly what they want to see on the form.

Nimche, What do you think about my I-864EZ is there any problem sending EZ to NVC. Who schedule the Interview NVC or the Cousulate where the actual interview going to be.

Rmusic

I sent the I-864 even though I was eligible for I-864EZ. Forms itself looks differenet and I wasn't really comfortable doing it. I would go for regular.

More documents you send you reduced possibility of an RFE. In Lingche's shortcut, we named all necessary dox and I sent exactly the same thing as over there and didn't have problem.

Not to forget, we are still dealing with a governmental agency which some people and workers will just use the guide and instruction in front of them rather than their brain.

Don't give them a chnace.

Good Luck

Yes, that's right, I'm suggesting you have some FIZZY WATER today...you deserve it.

Note - We need to update the shortcuts...Ninjarocket made a good reason why emailing the DS-3032 is not a good idea.

1) some VJ members find that their emails get lost because they don't pass the NVC spam filters

2) it takes NVC 2 weeks to read emails because they have relatively low priority
