CHD, did you generate a barcode for your DS-3032 form. I saw you emailed it and mailed it so I am wonder.

Thank you

Yes I did generate a barcode. Rather than using glue though, I just printed it on a blank printable address label then trimmed it so I could just stick it on. I did the same thing with my case #...printed a whole sheet of return address address labels with my case # on them. I think thats a great tip. This way I can just stick one in the upper right hand corner of everything that being submitted, and it saves me a lot of time, handwriting, a possible errors.

Oh yeah. and the spreadsheet is updated! :)

Sgr,

Okay from my understanding I do not have to file any DS forms right? Because I talked to a live rep and she said the only thing I have to do is pay fees and send the I-864 form to them, my question is should my wife fill out the DS forms and as soon as I get my nvc case number she e-mails them?

I might just have to pay a lawyer from this point and on.

Sounds like you know what you're doing...can't see why you'd need a lawyer.

Sounds like wife is beneficiary...if that's the case, she fills out the DS230 (with your help).

She will need to sign part 1 before you send it in.

As for DS3032, what some people do is setup a joint email account and use the template in the Wiki to send the DS3032 (choice of agent) to NVC (format and email address are in Wiki).

Sounds like you're smart enough to do this on your own. I suggest a lawyer if you don't have the time, or if you really are confused by all the forms and terms.

Again, if you need more info on the process, visit the Wiki and the Guides linked at the top of this page.

Good Luck

I just got the email notification that my hard copy DS-3032 was delivered to NVC this morning, so we'll see how long it takes them to enter it in and generate the IV fee bill. And I reaaally think I screwed up the AOS fee by paying it twice. NVC says its paid, but the payment site still says 'In Process' and won't let me print the cover sheet. If its doesn't update to 'Paid' by the end of the week, I think I'm just going to have to make a cover sheet using James' Shortcuts. But we'll see...

Did you sign up for receiving email or they just email you because your email address was on DS-3032?

CHD> Do you think I should wait for DS-3032 to be generated and then I send my COA? This change of embassy now added lot more complication to my case. Darn!

The email was from the courier who delivered it, not the NVC themselves. I signed up for email notification through the courier's site.

If you're mailing the DS-3032, then definitely wait until its generated. If you plan to email, you can try sending it earlier since it will take longer to be entered in the system and its likely the DS-3032 will be generated by the time they get to it. However either way, if they receive your DS-3032 before they've generated it, they will not be able to enter your choice of agent and you'll have to resend it.

Just got off the phone with NVC and was told my DS-3032 & AOS bill was generated today (8-28)...tried getting our IIN but didn't have much luck...also I noticed on the spread sheet that my NOA2 approval date is listed as 8-20, it was actually 8-15...anyone have a smooth method of extracting the IIN out of the operators?? I'd really like to get a jump on this NVC processing, I will be in Peru for 2 weeks in October celebrating our 1 year anniversary and it would be sweet to get a quick NVC approval with a mid October interview date...i'm sure that won't happen, it'd be to easy...lol...

Yeah...OVER 30 attempts...I was ready to offer a reward to anyone on VisaJourney that could obtain my IIN :-)

AVR has NOT changed from original message "...entered on..."

Confirmed AOS and IV generated by operator (actually by SEVERAL operators) :-)

First of all CONGRATS on your 1 year anniversary...and being able to celebrate it together.

We had hoped to be together for our 1st anniversary, but it just ain't gonna happen.

As for extracting IIN, I tried smooth and tried brute force. I tried talking to supervisors, and absolutely nothing seamed to work.

I just kept at it, and tried to keep my cool (at least when initially speaking with someone new).

I even asked if there was some policy on who can get it, and who can't. There is no rhyme or reason.

Best advice is to keep calling. I've heard (and it's been my experience) that evening operators are more likely to be of "assistance".

Also...if you keep up with things, at the pace most of us are going, there's a good "possibility" of October Interview dates.

Based on what I've seen here, it looks like the cutoff for Interviews is between the 15th and 19th. So you'll need a case complete

by Sept 15th to have a possibility of getting an October Interview.

Good luck, and congratulations again on your anniversary....lucky bahstad :-)
