Hi guys, since u guys have been through this, i wanted to ask if i am allowed to accompany my husband at new delhi consulate. i am us citizen. My case just completed at NVC.

you slipped that in and I didn't even see it-Ive been thru this forum several times. The answer is YES, you can accompany him to the embassy, HOWEVER the consular doing the interview has the authority to say-"You have done your work-its his turn now, please wait outside in the lobby." And I wouldn't be too surprised if they did. It shows you are right there supporting your SO. So good luck and God speed!-Amy

Nope- I have a new job, and bills got WAY out of hand while I was looking for it, so There will sadly be no trip to Amman in the near future for Amy I wish! That was my original plan, but it is just too expensive, and I would have to find someone to watch the kiddos while I went ! He is very nervous and every time I think about it my heart races and whatever I have had to eat thru the day is lingering on that last stiring to not come up! I think he'll be fine tho. I keep getting all kinds of support from my freind Melinda who brought her fiance' over in October... Just have to leave it all in God's hands!

Don't be so sure about the YES. This varies from consulate to consulate. Jordan most likely yes...but with some asertiveness. Others, it varies widely.

Regarding your previous question about fees at the consulate...in AMM, the Aramex delivery fee was 8JD in October and it would roughly be the same now, if any change. We're talking the CR1/IR1 correct? Good luck to you and yours.

I have another question for you too... can you tell me about his interview experience? I have heard many different types of stories, from 8:00am he went in to the interview, handed the man his papers,The man looked at the papers put the photos all on the desk asked who this was and where they were. Asked a few questions about her family and shook his hand "mabruuk" u get your visa in 2-3 weeks.

Then I heard the total opposite... shows up at 8:00am, turns in his papers, sits till noon and THEN goes in for his interview?? Where he is given the third degree about every detail of his wife's life.

Im starting to get nervous!
