FYI Amr went to a medical review for his k3 visa before going to the Embassy. He paid money to get all his shots up to date according to the embassy. They did xrays, blood work, gave him a shot, and filled out the paper and put in the sealed brown envelope. I always wondered why the sealed envelope... Now he is in the USA and goes for the AOS interview to get his green card and thats when the sealed brown envelope appears again. GUESS WHAT THE FORM SAYS SIGNED BY THE DOCTOR HE WENT TO THAT WAS REFERRED BY THE EMBASSY. It says that his shots are not current and didnt have any checked but his old shots. Now he has to go to the doctor again here and get all those shots again!!!!!!! I hope it dont hurt him to have MMRs again etc and cause him to be sick. I cant see that it would be good. The doctor checked on the embassy form that shots were not up to date. So he paid money for nothing in Egypt..........The doctor knew why he was there, he gave him the form. He is the embassy doctor listed to go to, so he should know he is there to have everything required.

Which doctor was it from the list in Cairo? My wife to visit one last week just for a pre checkup, since she wasn't feeling well it cost her $50. She use one from the approved list a lady doctor that teaches at the University, now she wants to charge $300 for the required medical + vaccines. Just curious.

I don't understand... Maybe you should call the Embassy, how can this man be an Embassy associated doctor and he put that on the form.. When it's his job to make sure visa candidates are current on the required vaccinations to enter the USA. Definitely sounds like someone is not doing his job and posing a large risk to health concerns in the US (not saying anything about your hubby at all... I'm just saying this is the REASON they give for this process of medical exams, vaccination requirements, etc as national health concerns, etc ) I would call the Embassy AND NVC and make a formal complaint..

You already paid for this once in Egypt and now you are going to have to pay for it again????? Insane!!!

The form is DS-3025....

Ahmed saw the same doctor and had no problems. Lots of people use this doctor and Ahmed said his office is

full.

I just think there was a mistake made.

The doctor filled out the 3025 first checking boxes saying he needed 3 different shots.........MMR,Td and varicella.....

After he came back the second time to give the doctor the Xray and blood work results, then the MD

completed the 3025 form again showing the shots given.

I think that there has been some mistake and the second 3025 was not put in your husband's brown envelope.

That is all I can think happened.

I thinK Amr is not a scam MD.........just a mistake has been made.

If you love me, then I have everything I need

Thanks to Krikit for creating these faqs!

Q: Why are K non-immigrant visa holders asked to include a vaccination supplement when filing Form I-485 to adjust status?

Some countries allow K non-immigrant visa applicants to defer their vaccinations until after they arrive in the U.S. If the beneficiary's vaccinations were not completed as part of the visa process, it is necessary to include form I-693- part 1, part 2-vaccination section, and part 5 in the application.

If the beneficiary's vaccinations were COMPLETED as part of the visa process, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE FORM I-693 IN THE AOS SUBMISSION. All your medical information is enclosed in the brown envelope which was handed in at the POE. The envelope is then forwarded on to USCIS where it will be consolidated with the I-485 submission, once received. If you received a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (Form DS-3025) from your Panel Physician, you may include a copy of that form in your AOS submission in place of Form I-693.

Q: Do I need to complete another full medical to adjust status?

Per Section 1245.5 in the Code of Federal Regulations, a medical examination shall not be required of an applicant for adjustment of status who entered the United States as a non-immigrant spouse, fiancée, or fiancée of a United States citizen or the child of such an alien as defined in section 101(a)(15)(K) of the Act and §214.2(k) of 8 CFR chapter I if the applicant was medically examined prior to, and as a condition of, the issuance of the non-immigrant visa; provided that the medical examination occurred not more than 1 year prior to the date of application for adjustment of status.

Q: I received an RFE for Form I-693 and my medical is less than one year old.

Sometimes the medical gets "lost" during the transfer. It is entirely possible that you may receive an RFE for the vaccination supplement (Form I-693), and possibly even for the full medical (Form I-693), even if the medical is current. Here is a helpful post from someone who was able to relocate a lost medical.

To find a Civil Surgeon in your area you can link here to use the USCIS Civil Surgeons Locator.

To have your vaccination information transcribed to Form I-693, the following Civil Surgeon will do it by phone and fax for a nominal fee ($10 at time of writing):

Dr. L. E. Arnold

4534 Westgate Boulevard, Suite 106

Austin, TX 78745

Tel: (512) 444-3131

Fax: (512) 447-4699

Something to note if you are yet to have your medical: If you have not yet had your medical prior to visa issuance, make sure to ask the Panel Physician if they will supply you with a copy of your full medical prior to scheduling. If they will not provide one for you, call another Panel Physician. If you cannot find a Panel Physician who will provide you with a copy of your medical, or if you have already had your medical and were not supplied with a copy, try asking the officer for one at the POE.
