Visa recieved... with MISTAKES!!!!!!!!!

My husband just got his passport with visa and it says he was born in Iran -- not Turkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do I do?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Ankara, Turkey

Moved to Turkey: 8/18/04

Got married: 11/21/06

Sent I-130: 7/24/08

Appointment letter: 8/11/08

Interview date: 8/20/08

Visa approval: 08/20/08 - THANK YOU JESUS THANKYOU!!!!!

Visa in hand: ????????????????????? Soon we hope!

Total 27 days from I-130 to visa approval

I would email them and ask them what to do. Thankfully, you're *in* Ankara so if you need to go back

in it won't be a big deal!

That's something they should definitely fix though, I would think!

Our Timeline

DCF - I-130

4/10/08 - Married in Istanbul!

5/14/08 - Sent I-130 to Ankara via UPS

5/15/08 - Packet arrived in Ankara at US Embassy

6/2/08 - Received email from Embassy, our interview is schedule for 8/11/08

8/11/08 - Interview at US Embassy in Ankara, I-130 APPROVED!!!!!!

8/13/08 - Visa RECEIVED.....

11/7/08 - Flew from Istanbul to Denver (via JFK)

11/21/08 - SSN received in mail

12/18/08 - Green Card received!!!

I-751 (lifting conditions)

8/10/10 - Sent to California Processing Center

8/20/10 - Received AOS letter

8/26/10 - NOA received biometrics appointment notification

9/16/10 - Biometrics Appointment in San Francisco

10/7/10 - Approved!

Citizenship

1/24/12 - Date filed

5/30/12 - Oath Ceremony!!!!

Adios, USCIS!

The passport and visa need to go back so the visa can be replaced.

that is just amazing and I do not know what to say about this ,how come they can make mistake like this since they have all tons of paperwork he filed up about him but anyways I am sure you can simply get it changed if you call or just walk in there ..

It's an awful mistake :(

You should call the embassy and have them fix it.

07/15/2009 IV(IR-1) in hand

08/17/2009 GC(10yrs) received

Thanks guys! I called the embassy just now and they apologized profusely. We have an appointment today at 13:30 to go get it fixed. I'll let you all know how it goes.
