I have been a procrastinator all my life, but despite this, I said I was going to get this AOS business going in plenty of time........Fate was against me. ON our wedding day, I contracted pneumonia. This took me out for a MONTH. I was NEVER this sick in my whole life.

THEN I took a job which worked a lot of hours. In fact, tomorrow (this Saturday) is my first day off in 33 days. Therefore, I just finished the paperwork for the AOS just yesterday. Halleujah! Less than 2 weeks before the K-1 visa expired.

how long do you have to file aos? i want to get mine done as soon as possible.

There's no set time. Doesn't have to be before I-94 expires. Sooner done the better tho as the clock starts ticking from date of GC for removing conditions and US Citizenship.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

im working on my AOS now, i plan to send it later this week i still have a few more document to round up. im just worried about the time frames now. from what i read it seems that it can be about 6 months untill my wife get the green card.

Good Luck James! I am glad you have recovered and got the paperwork sent off with that $1010 check.*ouch* We sent ours in early Aug and have the biometrics appointment on Sept. 6. Now it's time to work on a driver license , which will be fun because Thao has never driven a car before.

P.S.

It is getting cold at night in Minnesota. Time to buy some long underwear for Thao. I am sure Mai will be needing some soon.

Had to make an Info Pass appointment because there was a delay in receiving the NOA for our I-751. Never found out the reason for the delay but they gave Thao a 1 year green card stamp in her passport and we got a the NOA 2 days later.

i just sent my wfies AOS package today, sent it via usps next day express should be there there noon tomorrow. hopefully i didnt miss anything. i found an agency that would do all the paper work for me but they wanted to charge me $350.oo i figured for that much i would try it on my own first. im so glad to be a member of VJ. everyone here has helped me a ton! did you send your AOS yet mel and peter?

They cashed our check today. Still no notice of receipt, but I suppose that is a good sign. Not good for the bank account, though.
