July 28,2008 was my interview for K1 visa..during the pre-screening interview the lady ask me if I have a cenomar (certificate of no marriage). I told her I don't have it because its not written online that they required it. She did not say anything and didn't required me to get it. The second thing she asked me was the police report in HK because i worked there for 8 months year 2005. I already sent the application and requirements to get a police report/certificate a month before my interview. During my final interview the consul told me that everything is ok, they only need to check once they get the police report in Hong Kong and if there is no problem with it they will issue me a visa. I called the Hong Kong police and they confirm they sent the certificate/report to the US embassy on the 16th of July. I wonder why I didn't hear about my visa application yet. We called 3 times now after my interview and they cannot give us any info yet. What am I supposed to do now? How willIi know about my visa application?

you should have prepared this document prior to your interview (CENOMAR) since you applied for K1 (Single, Never been Married). It pays to prepared sometimes even if its not EXACTLY written anywhere if you need to bring it or not.

I called the Hong Kong police and they confirm they sent the certificate/report to the US embassy on the 16th of July.

if the HK police confirmed to sending the documents to USEM in Manila, then make the call to USEM to check. Call their local number and ask. this way you will know if you PC has reached the USEM. you need to make the call, its your police clearance, not your hubby's. there might be details he might not now since it not his PC, its yours.

I wonder why I didn't hear about my visa application yet. We called 3 times now after my interview and they cannot give us any info yet. What am I supposed to do now? How willIi know about my visa application?

they will not be able to know everything about every case that reaches them, there are thousands of cases which comes and gos through them so it pays to be patient. continue calling BUT only after you have confirmed they have your PC. if they do have it, this is the right time for your hubby to call since this communication dwells already on the satus of your visa, not the PC.

hope this helps..god bless..
