But pls be careful with your choice of words next time. We have muslim members here on vj... I am a Christian but 2 of my sisters are married to muslims, I have a nephew and a niece who are muslims, and another muslim pamangkin is on the way and I also have friends who are muslims, so I hope you would understand why statements like the one highlighted above offends me in a great way. With a blanket statement using the word "muslim", I feel that you are also labeling my muslim pamangkins unfairly.

My muslim friends family have been supporting and even protecting Christian soldiers in cotabato.

My family have been engaged in business since early 80's and I have grown up very much aware of how NPA's extort money from small scale businessmen.. I have a friend whose father was killed by NPA's right at their doorstep.. I know several people here who have family members who were executed by gun for hires--- their killers: Catholics who go to mass every Sunday. One of my closest friend's husband was robbed and murdered a few years back leaving my friend a widow at 28 and with 2 small kids. The killer: a catholic...

Now should I condemn all catholics becoz of these? Do any of us have a right to label all catholics as greedy and stupid, in the same context you use to label muslims?

RELIGION & FAITH has got nothing to do with all these crimes. How many muslims are members of the abbu sayyaf and the MILF? How many are not?.. and how many muslims are being oppressed by some people who claim to be Christians? How many Lumads in Davao have been displaced from their birthplace by the expansion of a (supposedly) Christian site in Calinan?

Why can't we just condemn those who are doing the acts of terrorism and call them by their name: ABBU SAYYAF GROUP & MORO ISLAMIC LIBERATION FRONT... include also NATIONAL PEOPLE's ARMY, the Davao Death Squad, Tagum Death Squads (who are killing even teenagers who are mere suspects for being addicts or just for mistaken identity).. These people are not muslims nor catholics nor any other christian denomination, they are merely lowly REBELS & TERRORIST & KILLERS and MURDERERS, & THIEVES.

I hope we will stop making negative blanket statements directed to any group of people, any religion, or any race.

I am not a muslim but I do have muslim friends. They also abhor the bombings and terrorism. Perhaps you could just refer to those muslims who are doing terrorist attacks and all. Please do not generalize because we have muslim brothers and sisters here in VJ..

How I wish the war in Mindanao will end up soon...

Correct me if I'm wrong. The MILF attack a town in Lanao del Norte which is Kolambugan. They kill innocent people even kids if they will try to fight back. MILF has those leaders who will negotiate with the government. Why do these MILF's leaders will talk to their men and tell them to stop killing those innocent people who are doing their stuff not even bothering them. They are killing civilians which is very painful just to get what they want. They were given the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao and still they want more.

This is not a war between Christians and all Muslims. I believe only those Muslim leaders want all of these to add their power and money. Of course they can get money from government for projects, and their IRA will be much much higher because they have a wider area.

Vjers let us pray for all people in Mindanao especially those in Lanao del Norte and Cotabato areas for them to be safe and away from harm. I still do believe that someday their will be PEACE(In God's time).

We all wish for the same.. Many civilians are in the middle of this war.. An innocent baby was hurt by a bullet coming from nowhere, parents never knew where the said bullet came from..

I think reason why there are no such thing in America, like terrorism from their own country is because they had divided their society into an ideal division. Minumum numbers of poor or if there is gov't are tehre to help.

Money doesn't buy justice system while here...well...it's the reality of life here, a trend..culture!

The recent action in Mindanao wasn't just a bombing. It was/is a full on battle with helicopters and gunships. Sad as countryman are killing countryman. MILF shot and chopped up 24 people in one village. Looks like there will be no end to it until GMA gives the muslims the entire island of Mindanao!
