I did my process by myself. Its pretty simple. I sent in I-130 with all the other items it requested and a few pics that I assembled in Word and added caption to them. As long as you follow the directions and read the threads here on VJ you should be fine.

Very true Jomo. Reputations is definitly what its about.

Estadia, I dont know whats taking yours so long, I remember seeing you around a long time ago. I'm shocked you are still at CSC. The other thing is it could be that your case is just one of those funky ones that have no rhyme or reason as to why they take so long. idk

Mrs Walker, they do standard background checks. Say like the same for someone applying for military or a government job or police. So things like that. Not sure of all of them. But I read on another thread that a lady went to her fiances interview and the CO had pictures from out of her email.

wow that is so crazy, because my mom was telling me she worked with a lady that got married but was seeing another man and they found out about. I thought that was just my mom tring to be funny, I was thinking how could they follow someone when they cant really get the paper work done n a timely fashion.

How can they find out?? Do they hack into peoples e-mails? Or do you think that a disgruntled person informs the embassy somehow.

No one really knows how they find out. In Oboma's case, her conclusion was that they got a hold of things she could've only said in e-mails and not one's she printed out for anyone at an embassy to read.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
