Hello! I have a ticket from US to India but need to know how I can get from India to Pakistan the cheapest. Must I get visas for both places? I was given the tickets for India so I decided to go on to Pakistan to see my husband before the end of the year. Any tips or ideas? The NWA only goes as far as India to get the closest to Paskistan and that is what airline these tickets are for.

try cheapflights.com

I dont know if they have anything helpful to you, but I know they had the cheapest international flights I could find, back in Jan.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Yes, you will need visas for both. I have heard that visas can be issued at border if you take train or bus--but in interest of "safe rather than sorry", I'll recommend getting the Pak visa from here.

Alternatives to flying:

  • trains
    • Shamjautha Express, Delhi-Lahore
    • Thar Express Jodhpur-Karachi
  • busses
    • Delhi-Lahore "friendship bus"
    • Amritsar-Lahore bus

Wow! This sounds complicated! I hope I can do this, maybe I better reconsider my decision to go both places.

Actually, NOT complicated; basically you've been shown the alternatives of flying, road and rail.
