Hello All,

I was following the website link for Mumbai Consulate.

We are doing both (I-130 (CR1) & I129-F (K3) at this point and will go for which ever interview date we get first.

From the link here: http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivforms.html

we are trying to find out the form neccessary to submit K3(I-129F, US CITIZEN FIANCE ALREADY MARRIED) package III to the Mumbai Embassy.

As I looked at the forms I found the following forms. but I was confused with one of them.

  • Instruction package for immigrant visa applicants
  • Instruction package for K-3 visa applicants ---> for this form the first line says, "Your non-immigrant K1 visa petition has been approved." but on the top it says "Packet 3 - K3 Visa" I am confused since we are K3 and not K1 but on top it says packet 3- K3 visa and on the paragraph line it says K1 has been approved. Really Confusing...Do we also need to fill this out or the "instruction package for immigrant visa applicants" since we are k3 and not K1.
Thanks to all. Edited by AVISA

At the consulate, K-3 and K-1 process very much the same... The forms are the same just the final visa is different

YMMV

So does for the K3 do we need to fill out the "applicant's statment" or is that for the K1?

The "applicant's statement" is essentially your acknowledgement that you have gathered all the required documents and are ready to be interviewed... This is not visa specific and you should absolutely include it...

YMMV
