I sent away to Ontario for my long birth cert, and I got back not the long copy but instead a Certified Copy of my birth cert from the Ontario Government. My question is , IS this what I need for my interview, will they accept it as my long birth cert as it is certified and all that ??

No they will not, you need to have the long form with both of your parents listed on it.

You can go online and order this, its pretty simple, or call them and tell them that there was a mix up so you arent charged.

You know what happened to me? I lost mine and realized it a week before my interview so I went to Toronto to go to the place to try to get it right then and there, and I found out they don't actually give it to you right there anymore. So I went back to my fiances, because I was visiting him and ordered it online. It said 2-3 weeks for delivery and I was literally heart broken thinking this entire visa thing would take longer because I didn't have one document. Well it was delivered in 5 days 1 day before I left for Montreal, hows that for fate...TO AN AMERICAN address might I add.

I don't even believe in fate but something odd happened there for sure. :D

They never give originals.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Would you advise of the web address/ phone number to process such a request...? Thanks in advance-

If it's the Ontario one you need, I went here :

https://www.orgforms.gov.on.ca/eForms/start.do

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I think you'll be allowed to move much faster then that...Vancouver interviews seem to get scheduled way faster then Montreal. It wouldn't surprise me to see you have an interview mid-end of September!
