This was our weekend.. only 2 trips to the beach.. and it was overcast, but not raining.. We ate lobster, hung out at the beach late at night to stargaze and a BUNCH of visits with friends.. and of course a trip to Cedar's Eatery for shish taouk.

Just got back from Canada for Labor Day weekend. Noticed our money sucks now compared to theirs and what cost me $14.99 for a 20 pack of my beer costs about $37 there. So that wasn't too much fun.

Other then that, ate at Harveys a few times and that was good, and the old oriental restraunt which was the same. Other things I used to like such as the un-pitted black olives didn't taste the same and got a huge back of Ketchup chips and only managed a small handful before realized my taste buds really have changed.

Tried looking for all these other weird flavors I've heard that they sell for chips, but only came across Smokey Bacon which was so-so and Roasted Chicken which wasn't too bad. Heard they have curry flavor and others, but tried a number of grocery stores without seeing much of a selection.

Over all things have definantly changed and not changed since I was there last 2 years ago...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

I am continuing with the house repairs this weekend! I live in my grandmother's home in Cocoa Beach (she passed away and my mother inherited the home and lets me live there for cheap $$$). I am painting the "lanai" aka "Florida room" that overlooks the canal. New carpet is coming in next week. I have been getting the house all pretty for when my Canadian sweetie comes (hopefully by Christmas- I already bought him a personalized Christmas stocking- it's a moose since he is Canadian lol).

So cute!

Last night we had my sister-in-law's 18th birthday party - she had this instead of a sweet 16 (it's a filipino thing to do it at 18 instead). It was really fun and a huge success!!

Later tonight we are going to another couple's apartment to watch the fight and have dinner. Should be a fun time, we can all drink since it's in walking distance!

Tomorrow, we will just relax, maybe do some grocery shopping and just hang out.

Meeting up with another couple we met through VJ for coffee and conversation later on today, then doing some work in the garden (killing bugs in and around where the zucchini plants were so I can plant a second crop), going through some of the bins I have storedin the garage to find clothing I just don't wear anymore and donate it to charity, then going out with a friend for dinner tomorrow evening. She is visiting family south of us so will stop by here on her way back home. We haven't seen her for almost a year now so it will be fun to catch up.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
