So this weekend, we had a very successful yard sale, and then both of us both got sick with food poisoning!

Jerry gets a four day weekend off this weekend, and we don't plan to do anything, and it will be heaven! No working on the house, no dealing with anyone (unless they want to come and look at the house and buy it), nothing. It's going to be great!

Did I ever tell you my garage sale story?

Well, one perfect Spring Saturday morning I was out for a walk with my friend when I spied a garage sale at someone's house. The stuff was all in her garage so I rummaged through everything.... picking up stuff and making comments on how ugly some of the pictures were and how I couldn't believe some of the things some people thought they could sell in a garage sale. And then I spied a soft and comfy chaise longue, so I went up to the woman and asked her how much she wanted for it. She said "Well, I'm not actually having a garage sale. I'm just cleaning up." :o:blush:

That explained the funny looks. But we laughed so hard we were crying.

I got the chaise longue for $5.00.

 Thats hilarious! Oh man I bet she was sooo confused at first.

Can you imagine? You're innocently cleaning your garage when someone walks in and starts rooting through everything, then commenting on all the ####### you have? OMG.

Here's our best shot of the bike ride this weekend :) Enjoy!

That is absolutely gorgeous, E. What a great way to spend the weekend.

This weekend for Labor Day weekend that is, I'll be flying into Destroit and driving across the border

Holy #######. Is it Labour Day weekend already?!!! :o

Yep Labor Day weekend is here and that means one thing. Summer is over and here comes my most hated season, Fall, followed by the equally ####### and garbage season of Winter. Yay 6 months of living hell...

Speaking of which me and the bf are going to start a mini-cleanse this weekend. Hope this means we can still go on our big hike in Bellingham on Sunday.

I wanted to go camping this weekend SOOOOO badly but the bf said there was a football game on Saturday he was NOT going to miss so I'll turn it into a afternoon of snacks and hanging out.

I am actually really excited! (except for border waits tomorrow afternoon )

Our teeny timeline:

Mar '08 ~ 1st visit to Vancouver

May '08 ~ 2nd visit to Vancouver

Jun 08 ~ plans to move to the west coast!

Oh, how exciting! Have a safe trip! Bring us back lots of chocolate!

I'm going to be running around getting things in order. I think I'm going to leave for Ontario Sunday morning. Work said they really needed me next week, so I couldn't put them off. (sucker) I really hope I don't get the long weekend crowds on the road. :(

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend everybody!

You are going to have to get a Nexus card.....a definite must for frequent crossings especially at Peace Arch! I love just sailing by all the people in the huge lineups (today it was even an hour line up at 4 p.m. and not even the weekend yet)

Hope everyone has fun this weekend! And glad to read you are feeling better Mephys :)

We are going to a local fair this weekend where I fully plan on breaking my diet and eating yummy and very bad for me fried things .... like fried dough and onion rings. I might even try a fried Milky Way for the first time!
