we got just a pink slip how many days should i allow for the visa to arrive trying to book flight now :help: :help:

It only took a couple of days for us to get our visa delivered in Gensan. But since its only a couple of days, why not just wait for the visa before booking flights? It will save you a lot of money and some headache if your visa delivery (knock on wood) gets a bit delayed. Besides, some airlines will ask for a copy of your visa before even selling you a ticket.

thanks i would but i work offshore and i am not sure when i will be called back to work it could be tomorrow or next week besides patients is not my strong suit ...lol...

it took 5 days to recieve in tacloban in leyte yes yes it would be better to wait to have visa in hand you also need to do the cfo to get the stamp before you can leave good luck and congratulations

she did the cfo the morning of her medical so that it was out of the way all she has to do is pick it up now

WOW!!! I CAN FEEL YOUR EXCITEMENT. I REMEMBER THE GREAT EXCITEMENT OF MY RON WHEN HE BOOKED ME FOR A FLIGHT EVEN BEFORE MY INTERVIEW, AND HE TOOK ALL THE RISKS, AND JUST FELT, EVERYTHING WILL BE OK ON AUGUST 29 (MY FLIGHT) AND ALL I DID WAS COUNT THE DAYS AND ANALYZE THE TIME OF WHEN MY VISA WILL BE DELIVERED COZ I WAS WORRIED THAT DATE OF FLIGHT WOULD BE MESSED UP WITH THE DATE OF VISA DELIVERY. MY INTERVIEW WAS JULY 29. I HAD MY VISA A WEEK AFTER THAT (5-7 DAYS).

IT WILL BE WISE TO BOOK A FLIGHT ONCE THE VISA IS ALREADY THERE.

We Risk too... I've always been a risk taker, My interview was June 5 and my husband booked me a ticket a day after dated June 20,I got my visa June 13. Got the pink slip too!!

Please check out Section 5.1 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. Don't forget that you have to take care of the CFO Guidance and Counceling Seminar and receive the CFO Stamp (Section 6.2) before you can travel outside of the Philippines.

with pink slip only u will get the visa in a week or less so u can book her a ticket around the 1st week of september she will be fine! goodluck!!

I also received pink slip only and received my visa after 13 days.. another vjer who also got pink slip only received her visa after 3 weeks (we from the same province).. they sometimes do random reviews on some application after interview so there is no telling the exact time frame from interview to visa-on-hand..... If you really want to book her flight now, why not book a flight 2 or 3 weeks from now, that way, she will also have time to really prepare and a little time to spend with her family also....

AND don't forget to call USEM and follow up on her visa, sometimes, they will just let it sleep for awhile and would only work on it after you call their attention.
