How you deal with mistakes on your forms?

Hi everyone,

Recently i realized that i have made a mistake on my biographical form, Uscis aproved us and now have to send the DS form. How do i explain the embassy the differences between what i wrote on Bio and DS form?

Anyone been thru that ?

How big is the mistake? is it something simple like a date?

29/06/2004 Met online

24/10/2004- Officially started dating!

-Various Trips Between the USA and Scotland-

25/12/2007- Steven Proposed, and gave me a lovely Ring!

29/02/2008- Sent I-129F to VSC

22/09/2008-1pm - Recieved Visa!

04/11/2008 -Steven comes back to Scotland for the Celebrations!

09/11/2008- We return home together!

23/01/2009- Wedding!!!

Your I-129f was approved in 108 days from your NOA1 date.

Preparing AOS Forms.

09/4/2009- Sent AOS

11/4/2009- Received and signed for

20/4/2009- Received NOA for AOS/EAD/AP (Dated April 17th)

20/4/2009- USCIS cashed check for $1010

09/5/2009- Biometrics

11/5/2009- Case transferred to CSC

05/6/2009- Received AP

09/6/2009- Received EAD

22/7/2009- Approved!

27/7/2009- Greencard in Hand

Removal of Conditions.

15/5/2011- Received @ VSC

23/5/2011-NOA1

12/07/2011- Biometrics

Did you forgot to cross a t or dot an i, or did you fail to disclose something like a previous marriage or previous foreign residence?

The best way is to take a corrected copy of the form that you made the mistake on - explain what the mistake was at the interview and submit the correct form. Good Luck

March 17 Refiled using new I-751 form

April 16 Biometrics done

July 10 Green card production ordered

Jan 20 filed N400

Feb 04 NOA date

Feb 24 Biometrics

May 5 Interview - Centennial (Denver, Colorado) Passed

June 10 Oath Ceremony - Teikyo Loretto Heights, Denver, Colorado

July 7 Received Passport in 3 weeks

Shredded all immigration papers Have scanned images

I had a descrepency on my place of birth. I emailed the Consulate to explain and give them a heads up. I also sent a letter explaining the situation to Tuyen and she brought it to the interview. There wasn't any problems with it.

CR-1 Visa

I-130 Sent : 2006-08-30

I-130 NOA1 : 2006-09-12

I-130 Approved : 2007-01-17

NVC Received : 2007-02-05

Consulate Received : 2007-06-09

Interview Date : 2007-08-16 Case sent back to USCIS

NOA case received by CSC: 2007-12-19

Receive NOIR: 2009-05-04

Sent Rebuttal: 2009-05-19

NOA rebuttal entered: 2009-06-05

Case sent back to NVC for processing: 2009-08-27

Consulate sends DS-230: 2009-11-23

Interview: 2010-02-05 result Green sheet for updated I864 and photos submit 2010-03-05

APPROVED visa pick up 2010-03-12

POE: 2010-04-20 =)

GC received: 2010-05-05

Processing

Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 140 days.

I worry about everything now, i know they are pretty strict on these forms.

I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown, how did u guys go thru all this without goin crazy ?

Ignore the problem and simply fill out any future forms correctly.
