So got the my checklist for things I need to get before they will set the interview. My question is about the Medical exam part.

On the list it only has Canadian medical examiners (I'm Canadian) but as I'm currently on an extended visit with my husband I was wondering if I could get the medical exam done in the States?

I haven't found anything on the USCIS site about it, and a quick search through the first few pages of medical exam questions gave me no information either. It would just be much easier for me to be able to get it here while I'm here, then have to wait make a trip home to get it done.

Also, if I can get it done in the States, is there a link or list of medical practitioners? They sent me one for Canada, and on the USCIS site I found one for the adjustment of status, but not for the visa med. exam. Thanks for any help.

NO, the medical exams in USA are only for persons adjusting status from a visa, you are REQUIRED to do the medical exam for visa at the designated medical facilities determined by the US consulate.
