Hi all-

Well, just checked the email...got a notice that the I-130 petition was approved. Seems like it was pretty fast. Anyone else get their I-130 approved before the K3? I assume we'll hear about the K3 any day now.

So, judging by what I've been reading here, I can probably expect a few months before the interview...is this correct? Is the I-130 interview for B.C. er's done in Vancouver?

Anyway, thanks to everyone for sharing all their info. This is a very helpful site.

Our I-130 was approved first also. It went to the NVC and got a case # and now it sits there doing whatever it does at NVC. In the meantime. The I-129F was approved, my husband had medical and his interview and is coming home in 2 days.

Congrats on your I-130 approval

Before an interview date will be scheduled with the I-130 it first has to go through the process at NVC if you are wanting a CR-1 interview. Once assigned a case number at NVC this process can take a few months depending on if James Shortcuts are used or not....and on RFE's, security checks etc. You can find the link for Timesavers at NVC and James Shortcuts in my signature. There is also links to all the relevant info here on VJ as well as the department of state site.

Your I-129F in your timeline is showing NOA1 of April 6.......they are currently showing as processing petitions with a receipt date of Feb 21 so there could possibly be a little bit of a wait yet before you get approval on the I-129F. Plus with IMBRA this may cause a slight delay at present as well. There hasnt appeared to be too much coming out of NBC of recent. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

My I-130 has been approved but still no case # from the NVC. The I-129F hasn't been approved yet...

I'm from BC too, so I'm going to keep an eye on you. ;)

Sounds good. Looks like you are on a very similar timeline. It's a race to the finish!

Thanks everyone for the very useful info.
