Working for home country employer

It looks like my UK employer is going to keep employing me, and paying me, after I relocate to the US. I can do my job remotely, working from home. I would be paid in GB Pounds into my UK bank account.

Does anyone know whether this will be a problem as I go through the process of arrival and AOS before I get the Employment authorisation?

Or, does anyone know which US agency I should contact to ask?

An EAD only relates to employment with US companies. Work for international companies is not affected, although you will need to check up on reporting foreign earnings in your federal taxes.

Thanks. That is what I had imagined, but want to be super sure so I don't get in trouble!

Interestingly I just called USCIS about this and they were honest (for once) and said that this was too complicated for them to give me a definitive answer. So they told me to make an infopass appointment at the local office to check. I think I will have my fiance do that for me, just to be on the safe side.
