While "Bakespace" has potential, I think, it certainly does not make it easy to find "friends". There is no unique url for your own space. At least I haven't figured it out yet.

I've joined- if anyone else is on it and wants to find me, pm me and I'll send you my email that it's reg'd under. I'm hoping I'm at least findable that way.

In other news, I've decided to start a blog mostly about recipes. There's nothing up there yet, but soon I hope. Anyhoo, it can be found at www.moroccanwife.blogspot.com

wow smaller packs are usuallyu about 3 or 4. I could go to a cheaper grocery but I'd have to take a bus there and I have absolutely no time for that. I hardly ahve time to shop and cook as it is:) lol

But I do like your freezing cheese idea. I was actually unaware that cheese could be frozen! Looks like I'll be trying that tonight then!

I freeze cheese all the time.. it does work best with grated cheese.. you can freeze the blocks but it tends to crumble a bit when thawed... the freezing doesn't seem to alter the taste of the cheese either...

ok....to make everyone happy I did buy cheese (shredded) :)

ANd I came up with an idea. It's quite simple really and it's ok for a quickie snack or in my case, a night of studying all night.

Microwave Nachos

tortilla chips

shredded cheddar cheese (as much as you want)

toppings (olives, salsa, jalepeno peppers, etc)

Put chips on a microwave safe plate. Top with as much cheese as you want (dont get carried away though or you'll ahve a hard time melting it I think), Cook in microwave til cheese is melted. Take it out and put the toppings on.

I've got salsa at home from the south american store near my house (good stuff south of the border:) and I will use that!
