Exactly how many homes does McCain own?

i don't care what car he drives. nor how many houses he owns. what i do see is a lot of whining rooted in jealousy over what mccain has.

Well, age does play a role in electing a politician? Maybe it's age that he can't remember.

Someone who calls others elitist and tries to portray someone else as a rich celebrity can't remember how many houses he has.

What really is there to defend?

Just admit the guy you're cheerleading for is an elite hypocrite ####### and let's move on to more important subjects.

you're mistaking what i'm doing for cheerleading. i'm just trying to tell you to build a bridge and get over it.

You're clearly cheerleading for the guy, and trying to cover his ### for his own hypocrisy and dumbfounded lack of memory to show his elitist side. Seriously, you asked me if I had 15-20 million if I'd remember how many houses I have. You have to be retarded or simply lost the part of your brain, like in Memento, to form new memories to not know how many friggen houses you have. It's not quite like cars, or even shoes. Slightly bigger, slightly more expensive.

I'm not jealous of anything. I don't need condos and houses, although it would be nice. I'm perfectly happy living my life as a video game marketing assistant and owning one house. There sure as hell something wrong with this candidate though if he has a hard time remembering something as easy as how many houses he has.

the example i cited previously was a logical and rational reason for why he may not know how many houses he has - his investor is buying and selling them. you can make what you want out of it, and it seems you're busy doing what you can to tear him down for your own personal agenda.

I'm not tearing him down. He's tearing him down. Criticism is fair. And fairness is my agenda. Which seems a bit more reasonable than defending a politician like the local football team.

but of course  that's probably why i've not seen you criticize obama yet? i've criticized mccain on his stance on illegals. that's an issue that voters define a candidate for. how many houses or what car he drives is, imo, quite transparent.

've not seen you criticize obama yet?

You must not be reading (and I'll only go back a few weeks, since it would likely be even more embarrassing to this nonsense if I go back any further):

If Democrats continue their "free speech zone" BS, I hope the DNCDisruption is successful. This nonsense needs more chaos.
Republicans haven't been afraid to throw black people's votes out to try and win an election. Happened with fliers tossed around in Ohio, disproportionate voting machines in large precincts laden with minorities who tend not to vote Republican, happened with Katherine Harris. Wonder what happened to the Democrat-backed stance against disenfranchisement. Looks like it went down the toilet with all of the other "change" promises.
It's a bloody campaign slogan...Obama didn't invent slogans nor did he invent the theme of change (see Clinton '92). As for what that change could mean - for one you could start with a change from the current administration's policies. That'd be a pretty dramatic change alone.

What policies would he change?

Remember, he was a Senator that had no important bills he made which were passed.

He's missed 1/4 of the votes since 2005.

He voted with Republicans to give immunity to AT&T/Verizon for the executive branch illegally spying on Americans, plus aggressively supported amending the FISA bill to include perpetually monitoring phone conversations of Americans via AT&T/Verizon (bells).

He can't even make his mind up on oil.

This same nonsense has been seen for the last 4-5 years.

I don't buy it.

He could have said, "I'm running for President because I want to help improve (change) America." That way it's a positive "I" statement instead of a negative statement and the opposing sides media wouldn't jump all over it.

From what I've seen the whole campaign is one to two words, "change" and "hope". I don't think that people are really taking the time to think about all the things, positive and negative, that those two words mean.

QFT. Anyone know what Obama would change? I sure as hell don't.

In fact, the "change" mantra was done in 2004 and 2006. Democrats were given the chance to "change" things in 2007-2009 and thusfar they've changed #######. So they need to come up with things a bit more constructive. The only thing they have going for them is the fact that the Republican ideas suck badly.

how many houses or what car he drives is, imo, quite transparent.

It's exactly the opposite of transparent if he can't even say. It's complete dumb****ery. This is the very same thing I point out about both candidates in their hypocrisy.

the posts you cited are more of an indictment against the democratic party, not obama throughout, but point taken.

I don't think the Democratic party votes for him. The first two were more rants against Democratic party, notably upon the mantra that he spats, but I can dig up many more against Obama specifically if you like. I have some good ones if you still want more crow. ;)

It's pretty scary to me having someone run the country while not even knowing what car he drives or how many houses he owns. He might forget what diplomacy is and end up ordering a nuke drop Miami when after Cuba.

ask yourself this: if you had more than a few million (say 15-20 mill total), would you know how many houses you owned? probably not, as more than likely, most people would have someone investing that money for them. and part of that investment would be in real estate, no?

### backwards logic aside, who the hell can't remember how many houses they have, besides a rich a-holes?

This guy should just retire and enjoy the rest of his life.

Who else, "besides rich a-holes" could afford to run for President of the United States? It take a lot of money to carry on a presidential campaign and members of both parties are usually quite wealthy.

As for forgetting things... I'm neither rich nor running for POTUS and I tend to forget certain issues. Do I forget how many homes I own? No, but then I only have one. If I owned many, maybe I would.

This is so ironic, because Kerry got all kinds of flack from the Right for being married to money. They painted him as an elitist and out of touch with the average joe....a real French looking snob. And now that McCain's in the hot seat for not remember how many homes he has or what kind of car he drives, it's just 'jealousy' by those on the Left who are always so jealous of rich elitists. Oh the irony.

The problem I found most with Kerry wasn't his money. As I wrote up above, all politicians have money, especially if they run to be president. My issue was with his wife (numerous individuals shared my thoughts on this, as well). In many ways, I think her attitude helped him lose his campaign as much as her wealth helped him wage it.
