Let's hope we see more K3/I-130 approvals next week or tomorrow. There was a survey that noted that employees are happiest on a Friday (go figure...). I can imagine VSC officers getting click-happy tomorrow and click away those approvals!

I just talked to VSC nice male officer, but referered me to USCIS Processing times, I told him nicely still showing updates dated for July. Also mentioned to him, that they have not cancelled my petitions, he said, they were probely received and stamped in , and put in a bin for processing. Which means I will get a approval or a RFE or a flat out denial before they see my cancellation letters. So, we are ready to re-file, and not sure what to do. So many touches in the past couple of weeks, but not a word from USCIS. Maybe we should let them do their thing , and if approved will sort all out at interview if necessary. I have my copies of the letters, and a copy of the name who signed for them, so nobody can say we did not cancel the petitions. The heartache we go thru to be with our loved ones, and the heartache VSC gives us for wanting to be with our loved. ones. Maybe Friday will be a better day for all of us. Think I will jut go to Paris and enjoy time with my husband, and let VSC sort it all out.

i read somewhere that if ur case is more than six months old and u call USCIS and demand an immediate attention to your case, they will entertain ur request. also after the six months mark, ur senator/congressman can try to push the right channels to help u...is that true? anybody?

Usually, if you call after just hitting six months, they tell you to call back in another 30 days. They want you to be well outside the processing times.

Really? I should try - I just wish I would get a touch, or something.... for all I know my file could be stuck behind a filing cabinet.

ETA after reading relies: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

I have been to Vermont a couple of times and it is such a beautiful state, why do they have to have such a #$%^ed-up service center? Maybe they are too busy picking blueberries????

Hello.....This is my first time posting, even though I have been reading messages for a long time :(

I am a citizen. I Married my husband in Pakistan in July 2006. My process was pretty quick even though I sent in documents a year and half late. I received my husbands appointment letter on July 18, 2008 with his interview being 3 weeks later in August. He already had his interview but at the last moment they put him on processing because he did not have the ORIGINAL birth certificate :crying: I was really upset that at the last minute of almost getting his visa the counselor asked for the original in our language. So, he as told sent it via Courier and are waiting for them to contact him. Just as an advice to VJ's, tell the person(s) going for interviews to take the "extra" load rather than leaving something thinking they might not ask for it.
