Hi all... I'm using the RGD website to order offical copies of our wedding certificate and my hubby's birth certificate...

I thought I could complete both forms and then hit the check out button- but I think I lost the form form ordering his birth certificate. So, I paid the fee for our marriage license- is it safe to submit another application for his birth certificate and then pay that fee????

He is without a car and 3 hours from Kingston... makes that a bit difficult. If it were easier, I'd do that... but luckily, we've never lost anything I've sent him (knock on wood). I'm just afriad to mess them up by submitting one application and not paying the fees and submitting another and paying for that one...

If they didn't charge you for it, then yes, it is safe to reorder. However, I am with Sus, on this.....if he's still in JA, he can go get one or two more much cheaper then the 8 they MAKE you get when you order online.

Also, they called us cause our zip code did not come through properly. It took them weeks to call. After that, they came pretty quickly.

You know he can go to any RGD office, right? He doesn't have to go all the way to Kingston. Andre went in MoBay.

OK...DO NOT ORDER ONLINE...it will take forever !!! if there is anyway u can have someone get them for u in JA and then forward them to u..do that instead..but if u have no other option just gotta do what u must...

Oh... I was able to order two of them... and I sent them to his residence in Jamaica... not to me in the states. I'm hoping it will work.

yes this is an option..better than having it sent to u in the states. I don't trust that site for payment either..so i got the order # and my husband paid for them in JA

The closest would be Santa Cruz... and it is like an hour away... he's kind of in the boonies. Ah... now, I'm a bit stressed by this. Money is so tight right now and having him drive anywhere always ends up costing him an arm and a leg. Can he pay for it and pick it up the same day? He has to go to Kingston to get his police record, so maybe he can get it all then? I've already paid for the marriage certificate, so we will see what happens there.

Thank you all for your help.

Don't be stressed out. I ordered by marriage certificate this same way. Had it sent to my SO in St. Mary. They will send you and email confirmation and on that email it will say if you have any questions to send them to a certain email address. I did have a question so I emailed them and they did get back to me within a day or two of my email. I paid for the faster service and it took about a week. Hope this helps.

JG..sometimes the it's much easier..the lines ,the heat etc...my husband took care of a lot but there were things that were easier for me to do..like ordering my BC online and have it delivered to him...whats the point of stressing him if u can do it and make things easier..soo it prooves he willing ?
