WE GOT APPROVED! WE GOT APPROVED! WE GOT APPROVED!!!!

Yesterday we arrived at the embassy in Ankara at 8:30 (our appt was for 9:30). We handed the guard our passports and they prepared them and let us in to wait in line. There were WAY more non-imm visas than immi visas waiting. We were inside waiting with in 15 minutes of getting there.

Time passed by really quickly. We were called up at 9:20 and paid the $400 fee and were told to sit down and wait to be called. About 45 minutes later they called us up again.

Oguz was really sweet -- and nervous! He said "good morning" and the woman was quite friendly. She asked me "are you his wife?" I said "yep, that's me". She then asked "how long have you been in Turkey?" and I said "4 years as of Monday." and she said "ok you can sit down. Ill call you if I need you".

Luckily enough there was an open chair right next to window number 6 where Oguz was. I heard everything. He couldnt do the finger print stuff and the woman at the window got a bit annoyed with him (his hands were probably sweaty from nerves). She asked him where he was from, where I was from, who was his sponsor, what my parents and his parents do, do we have any brothers or sisters, why did I come to Turkey, do I speak Turkish... then they asked him when I came to Turkey. Oguz gave the right date, but he had problems explaining our story in English. He didnt pick me up from the airport in Turkey -- his family did. We met a week later because he was working as a tourguide then and in the middle of a tour. He accidently said that I lived with his family for 6 months, not 6 weeks, but the interviewer spoke Turkish so he was able to correct himself. She was a bit rude and said that his English was confusing, but sometimes it is so you know  Also, Oguz accidently said the name of the county Im from, not the city on the mailing address, but the woman didnt care.

Thank God we had pictures of me and his family with a time stamp in the corner to prove what he'd said about the first 6 weeks without him!

We took telephone records, western union recepits from when I got money from my family (because I dont work here) to prove domicile, wedding photos, general photos, plane ticket stubs and itinerary copies from all the times I went home (again for domicile) -- Oguz showed 1 or 2 photos and that was it.

I almost started to cry because I heard the interview start to go downhill. They gave him back all the envelopes I sent in and I panicked -- ends up these were extra things they didnt need. Oguz got a little white card with our case number on it, we went to the ups counter in the back of the embassy, paid, and left. FINISHED!!!!!!!!!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy and anyone who has any questions is more than welcome to PM me -- I will help you in anyway that I can.

Thank YOU visa journey members for helping me out so much!!!!! Best of luck to all of you!!!!!!!!!
