Regarding the money thing, you can bring in more than $10k when you move here as long as you do it through your bank and other legitimate means. The $10k limit is on cash or a check that you are carrying across the border. They just want to be able to track it.

There's diamonds in the sidewalk, the gutters lined in song

Dear I hear that beer flows through the faucets all night long

There's treasure for the taking, for any hard working (wo)man

Who will make his home in the American Land

What if you lived close to work during the week and came home on the weekends to be with your husband? One address for all the paperwork and an apartment to live in.

That should satisfy the immigration officers in any situation.

But, like others have said, you do have to wait for the EAD and all that too.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

That would have been my suggestion - many people in the UK live away from home in the week to get to work easily then go home at weekends - it would mean you could set up bills and things in one location and maybe stay with your siblings in the week :)

Thanks Jeraly and Jomos girl, I do plan to do what you guys suggested. All the paper work like bank accounts would be with jointly with my wife. She has her

own home with a dog and a cat. It's the suburb of Pittsburgh - nice place to live in but not with many opportunities.

BTW, I am the husband (foreign fiance'). She hardly comes online other than for her office work.

After AOS and EAD, I have to see the immigration officer only after two years, right ? When I have to remove the conditions ?

It's not at all shady. And that is for the Consular to decide, right ! I did not like this personal opinion while I was seeking advice as to whether I will land into any trouble for living separately from my fiancee for a few months. I am not a mail order bride to leech on the earnings of my fiancee. I love her so I want to share the burden of day to day expenses, sooner than later.

If you don't want personal opinions, don't post your problems on a public message board.

Rather than offering helpful suggestions like others , all you have to offer is a cryptic "shady" thing.

Here, I am talking about real life issues.

For communiting, it all depends on where in PA right guys? If you live in Erie PA, well, you aren't commuting to NYC without 9+ hours, better off driving to Buffalo and flying JetBlue. Now if you live in Morrisville, PA.... commuting is possible, less than 2 hours. Same from NJ, jersey city, no question. Matawan is doable, a little over an hour. Bridgetown, NJ is highly undoable.

Obviously, the OP's fiancee does not live in the NYC area. PA is big, living on the west side of PA rules out commuting.

PA and NY are not that far apart. Why can't you just take the train into work in NYC if that's where you find work?

I guess you're trying to plan ahead, but it seems a bit fatalistic. You aren't in trouble/hard times, so why not live with your wife and find the best way to make it work?

PA and NY are ridiculously far to commute for work. That's a 2 hr trip in one direction. I live in NJ and I wouldn't do that.

Not everything works out as easily as people hope. Evetryone's entitled to their opinions but tact and disgression doesn't hurt either.

As for the original poster, it looks suspect to immigration officials if you don't live together. If that comes up somehow in your interview that could be a problem.
