being from the south..they are terrible to eat.. :whistle:

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Talking to my sister-in-law yesterday about possums, they have a very nasty tick on them that causes the horses to get sick, she says they are nasty critters and once the horses get this tick they cannot get rid of it, as for eating one of these i did google it once just for a giggle and there really are recipes for this kind of thing ....I was gagging for days.

Well I hate to tell you all this but there is a lady known in this area for collecting roadkill and making it into pies. So I thought this thread was serious :lol:

I am serious, everyone avoids her food at church dinners!

I think the possum is pregnant!

:idea::thumbs:;)

Sorry Icey, couldn't resist hon! :P

Seriously, so if this possum saw you seeing her, would she really play dead or summat?

:lol::lol::lol:

Actually, she isn't pregnant anymore per se - the babies are in her pouch. And judging from the size of her, they are pretty well grown I think. She came around last night looking for a handout again and I had to resist putting out more food for her. I've a feeling the bag of cat food might "slip" a bit when I give the cats dinner tonight and that there might be leftovers....lol. :whistle:

As for the possum playing dead, I think they only do that when they are seriously threatened. My daughter and I were talking to her in a low voice from behind the screen. She could hear us and she knew we were there but continued eating.

I believe there's a place for every creature on this earth.

On my plate right beside the mashed potatoes. :D
