good morning everyone. thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers for my mother in law. she is doing better today and they put in 4 stents for now. she will probably get bypass surgery later. he spent all day yesterday talking to doctors there and even sent his friend her films here and he took them to the cardiologist and they called him and told him she needs surgery. why they just did the stents i dont know. maybe too soon after the heart attack for major surgery.

anyway im happy she is doing good now. hopefully if she continues to improve my husband will come home sunday as planned.

Good Morning and Happy Thursday to all my MENA peeps and Charles, too!

Donna, I know from my own experience with my father, that when he needed a triple bypass they put a stent in to open a collapsed artery. They waited two weeks to do the surgery because a heart attack causes so much damage to a heart (an organ/muscle) that they want to give it time to heal if possible. If her condition was too severe and they couldn't wait, then they would have performed the bypass then and there. I hope she recovers well and can have a bypass when her body is ready for it.

It's first day of kindergarten! I am so excited to see my grandbaby taking this huge step in life. She's been a stay-at-home kinda kid and is going to LOVE being with others.

After that I measure a house then go to my desk all day. Hope you all have a good day. See ya tonight.

Good morning MENA! I hope that you are all doing well. It was a really rough night last night... Went to Aaron's kindergarten meet and greet, which went well, although he was as nervous as he could be.. poor little guy.

However I think I did something really bad But it wasn't with bad intention. The new kitten seemed to have a little bit of an enlarged stomach, so I called our family vet and talked to him and he told me go ahead and get a deworming medicine from the pet store and give him the smallest dose on the box. He said it's likely it's just his body shape being small, but as a precaution go ahead and do that. (Vet was leaving on vacation the next day and didn't feel it was necessary to see Hamza) Anywoo long story short I got the medicine and I gave him actually half the smallest dose - called for 1/2 tsp and I gave him half of that (he's so tiny) And 24 hours passed, he did his business and there was nothing.. So I thought great, no worms, he's just a wee little guy with a fat belly.

Last night out of no where he starts to shake around.. Stumbling, muscle tremors, walking into walls, falling over. I was freaking out! Jihed told me to relax that we couldn't do anything and that I was being a total majnoona...and he went off to bed. (At least someone could sleep ) I called the vet's office and I got nothing - not even an emergency service number. #######?

I didn't know what else to do so I just wrapped him up in a towel and held him and tried to push as much water on him as I could. He seemed to be much better this morning when I left for work. Still not 100% but he's not falling over or walking into anything - Just seems a little weak. Inshallah its' going to pass and I haven't done any major damage.

I feel like such a total schmuck! Has anyone ever heard of this or experienced it before? I went right to the net last night and found out it's common (not common in a good way) but that the over the counter medications seem to carry muscle tremors as a side affect.. Wow.. Why even put that stuff out there?? I feel so bad still but I just keep saying that I did call the vet and ask first (Vet I have used for a lot of years on all my animals and that I do trust - well maybe not any more)

So I'm at work, absolutely no sleep - I think I may have dozed off for an hour or so but he started doing this meow cry that woke me up right away... Incha allah he's fine tonight and he and I can both rest.... ( I know it's just a cat lol )

Ash, when you wake up, read the article I posted. We can now wear our bikinis in peace when we go to Egypt! Good thing, I know that's been weighing on our minds!

Okay it's official, I probably am nuts (No comment from you Nawal lol ) Kitty has a doc appt at 2pm with a new vet.... Just precaution I can't stand the thought of an animal suffering... Now let's just hope I don't have to take out a second mortgage to pay for this But it's official Jihed thinks I'm insane! That I paid $75 for the cat, that I'm buying it toys, expensive food and taking him to the doctor... I'm sure he can't wait to call home and tell them about this... They'll get a good out of it!

Hi guys! I had a crazy morning. Me and my daughter stayed up all night long for her test this morning, get there and they say it was on Tuesday and I know it was today from the conversation with the lady and all of my notes. I was so pizzzzzzzzzzzzzed off! They said we could wait around today and see if somebody didn't show up and if that was the case they could work her in. Sorry but I had to be at work and the poor kid had no sleep. Craziness...anyways, she is going tomorrow.

Ash...sorry about the kitten. I hope she will be ok.
