AOS appointment in Orlando

Hello

A friend finally got her AOS appt in Orlando, after waiting almost 2 years. Thats the good news!

The bad news is her two daughters (aged 7 and 9) will be out of the country visiting their step father (they have AP)

Do the children have to be present?

I am hoping they do not have to be there, as it will be super expensive to change around all the airline tickets that have already been purchased. My friend wants to keep the appointment, since she will be there. Do you think she can change the children'a appointment and keep hers?

Also, I am wondering if they stamp passports in Orlando?

If the children don't need to be present, but their passports do (to be stamped), they can easily be sent back via Fed-ex

What do you all think in this situation....and if my friend decides to change the appointment, how easy is that? Will she have another long wait?

oops...the girls will be out of the country visiting their FATHER! not step father, he lives in Orlando and is the one petitioning for them. He will accompany their mother to AOS interview.

yes children have to be present at the interview as they are adjusting as well.

She can call the phone number on the notice and get the interview rescheduled - but seeing how Orlando is so far behind - is she Ok with another long wait or not? Good Luck
