the timelines that are on the uscis website are an average and not accurate at all!

for example, my hubby filed his N400 in August 2007 and had his oath in June 2008...right now

Milwaukee says that as of July 2008 they are processing July 2007...so that is not accurate..I would say

they are about 2-3 months off...big time..at least in this case....

The USCIS processing times have been updated as of Aug. 15. It seems like most times have actually gone back, instead of forward.

10-Apr-08...Filing date for I-130/AOS/EAD/AP

02-May-08...Biometrics

31-Jul-08...EAD Card received

15-Sep-08...Interview (APPROVED)

27-Sep-08...GC received

03-Aug-10...Filed I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

06-Aug-10...NOA 1-yr Extension Letter

10-Sep-10...Biometrics

02-Dec-10...ROC approved! (Card production ordered)

They usually update it about a week after the 15th, it depends on the month.

The processing time is made to give you an idea and if your case is not processed when the date shows the date of your NOA then you can contact them and check if something is wrong (personally I checked before that but they tend to tell you to wait and wait and wait).

Keep in mind though that every case is unique and some are processed faster than others.

I was approved last month, applied in July 07, and when I was approved the USCIS processing time was still reading early june. It's not that it's not accurate it's just that some people who applied in June 07 are still undergoing processing.

I just looked at the site and they have updated to aug. 15 now. However the prossesing times for my wifes I-485 and I-765, went from them working on Apr. 16 to an updated Apr. 1. Par for the coarse with the U.S. Gov. we took two steps back. Just pray if you do and cross your fingers if you don't.
