Hi

I called Customer Service and a very polite women answered.

I explained that my case was transfered from VSC to CSC and that my original Receipt Date was October 10 2007. But now on the notice I received from CSC it says that the Receipt Date is January 10 2008.

She said that I should still keep referring to the original date of Oct.10 2007. So then I said that I am out of the processing time for CSC and she said that actually I was not because all the petitions transfered have to go by the processing dates from VSC not CSC. I should call back in 68 days.

Well it was worth the try. I don't know why but it feels better when you call.

It sounds like CSC is going to continue helping out VSC.

I can see those approvals coming out already. We should all try to stay and think as positive as possible.

I doubt they'd have to use the processing dates from Vermont. If that were the case, exactly what is the point in transfering them? They were transfered to get them done, not to make us wait until Vermont *would* have gotten to them. Again, why transfer them at all if they were going to go to California only to be filed until Vermonth changes their dates?

So I think that bit of information is bogus. Past that, it fails to explain all of the touches.

But I agree that somehow it makes you feel better to call. Just goes to show how illogical we humans are! (Or how desperate you become once you begin the Visa Journey!!)

Did they say where you were connected to? Vermont or California? I definitely talked to someone at CSC.

No, after her explanation, I didn't bother to ask anything else. She just totally through me off. I guess they really don't know. But you are right it is obvious that CSC is definitely working on our cases.

I don't think I am going to call again, they never really say anything useful or comforting.

I agree calling helps to give this whole process a person to person feel to it. Let's just hope this can start to come along.
