Hello,

I have been out of the mix for a while, I just started looking around this site again the past few weeks. We sent in the I-751 in February. They received the form on 2/4/08. My wife had her Biometrics appointment on 3/11/08. We hae not heard anything since. I've noticed that people who started later than us have already been approved. I checked on the USCIS website and all it says is this...

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On February 4, 2008, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Is it normal that it is taking this long? Should I contact anyone?

Thanks for your help.

Robert

Those people filed to CSC, which is much faster than VSC where you filed your petition. Right now VSC is processing petitions received last September. Mine was received at VSC last October, and my online status is still "On October 3, 2007, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."

don't worry too much... it took about 2 months for me to get my NOA1... and VSC takes a long time not like CSC... if you don't hear anything when they pass Feb 2008 on their processing time, then you can call... but your spouse had biometrics done, so at least you know they touched your file sorta.

GOOD LUCK!
