Hello VJErs:

Just wondering how much pesos and dollars should I have for my flight to US on August 29. I have an e-ticket issued by NWA- Manila- Nagoya- Detroit- Baltimore. What are the things I still need to pay at NAIA, Japan and Detroit airport? Also, I have read some info and get confused with NWA advisory that for domestic flights, travellers will pay 25 dollars for the first bag and 15 dollars for the second bag (luggage-check in??). Is my connecting flight from Detroit to Baltimore considered a domestic flight? Who have travelled here using NWA?

Your replies will really be appreciated:)

Thanks:)

If your ticket bought on internet, you need to pay PH Travel Tax P1,620 and terminal fee P750. If you don't have extra baggage aside from the 2 free baggages, 100$ is enough for packet money. Be sure to have right weight on ur baggages to avoid paying in excess on the airport.

Domestic flights are those coming within the US state to another state. But you are not since you are travelling from Asia. That connecting flight is not condered domestic flight.

Good luck & Happy Trip!!!

Paying for your luggage should only happen once. With NWA, just at the first part of your journey. If they have connecting flights, your luggage will just go to the final destination for the same price. Don't forget to bring a little money for waiting at the American airports. Better to bring US $ than having it changed for a fee at the airports. You might want a snack or drink, or magazine while you're waiting.

when we came here by nWA tax was included in the ticket. we only paid P 750. Try to check with north west though. anyway it is nice to have some peso bills extra just like us we plan to visit there this yr. God bless on your trip.

I think when I left the Manila airport in March '08, there was a $18 airport fee. I had to pay a small fee to EVA air for heavy baggage. And I think I spend 25.00 US on foods and junk.

rodger and ninfa is also right with domestic flights your coming on international flight so your allowed 2 bags plus one carry on. no fee. unless your over weight so weigh your luggage it is like 70 lbs or 32 kilo for checked.

good luck and have a safe trip
