Olivia- I start classes Monday also, but the great part is my first class starts at 5:30pm. yea, bad news but yet good news is Dr. Scott called me and I am starting my first internship, she was not as awful as I thought she would be, so it looks like my first internship will be in the ER, OMG, I go in Friday for my interview. So now for the next term I will be loaded down with classes while interning I should be fired by the Christmas holidays.

For all my fellow insomniacs I am with you, don't know how I will function when I have to really be on top of my work with little sleep, oh can't wait for that. I wish I could function with just a couple of hours of sleep; I could get so much done, and not feel like I was beaten up.

I bet you can make it through! There are some women that work and go to school and manage a family with young children. I lovingly call these women super women!

See ya around the night owl's chats then.

I'll be there too starting next week

I'm going to a new campus this semester (closer  but smaller) and their library closes at 10pm  that's about when I'm done with my classes  which means I get to go home to try to do homework while listening to my husband gab away in arabic

Oh well, that's what weekends are for :P

You are definitely not alone!! Same here... At first he did it with the English too (so loud that my ears hurt) so when I pointed that out, he was  and started to talk in softer tones, but any time in arabic it's so loud I start moving away slowly, inch by inch until we have a good distance between us ... if he is talking to me so that my ears don't hurt... When he's on the phone to people back home... Wow! It's like the talking loud in arabic because it's his nature and then talking even louder because you know - when you are on the cell phone and they are that far away you have to scream to be heard

OMG it's a favorite that I have to make once/week now!!! The kids hate it because it looks different  so I just make them chicken fingers to go with their fries instead. I have some of the broth leftover from when I made it this weekend so I'm just going to fry the chicken up and use the same broth (not just broth,...the whole thing with the onions, tumeric. etc. that was leftover). We both LOVE it!!! I do it a little different though...instead of using a whole cut up chicken I bought some chicken tenders and some boneless skinless chicken thighs for some dark meat and sautee those in the oil/salt/pepper/tumeric/onions and then proceed as normal. I made oven potatoes the last time too instead of using french fries but I have to say I prefer the french fries!!

We always use only boneless/skinless chik breasts or tenders for *everything*. Neither of us care for anything w/ a bone in it - ironically, we both were vegetarians a long time ago before we met!

Well best wishes to you as well. Is there a 24hr coffee shop you can retreat to? Sometimes I have several study spots picked out other than the library.

LOL I don't have that problem because he only calls one friend that he talks to in arabic and he goes on the porch so that he can smoke while he talks.

HOWEVER.............when we first started going over my sister's house for dinner my brother in law would talk soooo loud to him so finally my sister just *looked* at him and said, "Bob, he's not deaf.....he's Egyptian!!!"

My grandmother wanted to know the same thing hehe .... What are they fighting about? Did he do something that they are mad at him for? LOL They were talking about his cousin's wedding and where they went for a honeymoon.

Wow you got a lot done today!!! Wish my day was that productive.. I remember those exersaucers and such - I'm a really clean person, almost to the OCD level and my kid was clean when using them but it was shocking how when you take them apart all the crud you find in the little areas.. YUCK!

And definite feelings for the destruction of Hurricane Husband/ Kid / or Dog .... I use to get so mad at cleaning and then turn around and find it worse than it was before... But my Mom reminded me that a day will come when I'll miss all those messes
