Hello. We pretty much have the same TImeline. Our IV bill payment was received on 8/20/08. Im about to send my DS230 too. Can you please give me a checklist of what docs youre gonna send along with it? I read your post about sending it yourself to NVC and that was what im about to post here. I got the answer :star: so im sending mine from Makati to NVC even though i chose my husband as my agent. Thanks for the post.

Once NVC accepts your DS-3032, your IV Fee Bill will be generated. You won't be able to pay it online until it says "Invoiced".

If it shows up online, then you can pay it.

If it has not been generated, and you send it via mail, you could create problems/delays for yourself.

The system is only setup to accept payments and packages at the appropriate time.

Think of it like this...

You bought a piece of land for your new house (your USCIS approval)

You know the street name (NVC received and scanned package...created NVC number)

You know the address (NVC loads into system and generates AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032)

Now you want to pay the water bill (Sending in IV bill before it's generated)

Well the water company knows who you are, and they know that eventually you will have a house at xxx address...

but until the house is built and they send you a bill (Fee bill generated) they don't know what to do with your money.

OK...not a perfect analogy...but you get the idea.
