K-1 Joint Sponsor - I-134 or I-864???

Hello, I have two questions actually.

(1) I am a student and filed a K-1 for my fiancee in Jamaica. She just received instructions on what she needs to bring to her interview. We've been told that for the K-1, we use the I-134 Affidavit of Support. But the I-134 does not have a spot for joint sponsors like the I-864. I have been told some embassies don't allow students to petition for K-1 visas. I emailed the consulate in Jamaica and they said "you can address your concerns at your intervew." What? My question is: which form should we fill out (both me and my joint sponsor, Dad) and will we have problems at the interview?

(2) My fiancee received two packets of instructions (mailed to her on two consecutive days). One packet had the DS-230 Pt I and three pages of instructions. The other packet had the DS-230, I-134, Medical History Form, etc. (about 26 pages in total). Why did they send us two seemingly contradictory (one only mentions I-864 and does not mention DS-156/156K/157) packets of instructions?

Thanks so much for your help! The instructions are not clear and we haven't gotten much clarity from the consulate.
